Nah Shang Tsung's forward throw does 12% because it heals him for 2% and when you morph, your throws will do 16.8% because of the 20% damage buff. The drinking may be in play here!So it was my understanding that if you morphed into your opponent, your throws did 12 percent instead of 14. Am I incorrect? Playing Shang's 3rd variation at the moment, which has no soul steal, yet every throw I land does 12 instead of 14.
Am I too drunk or is there an issue here?

Actually you get the most damage by ending in d2, after the force lift it is easy to space it so that the opponent stays in the corner.For the corner combos, you get the most damage if you end in 4 bf1

For all grounded starters like f24, 3u2, 4, 21 going into db1 amp, j2,3xxdb1 is east and does a bit more than the combos you have.
For Soul Eater it makes sense to go for max damage with 2 bars and the easy optimal damage is
f24/b3u4/4/3/21 xx db4 amp, 3u2 xx db1 amp, dash xx d2 - it does 362-385 depending on the starter
In corner it isn’t hard to get this combo: f242/J3, 11,11,114 xx db1 amp, d2. I think it does over 340 off f242 starter and even more off J3.
And for grounded starters like f24 or 3u2 it isn’t hard to get Starter xx db1 amp, J3,114xxdb1.
For 114 starter going into db1 amp J3 114xxdb1 works but it is tight so it is practical to go for j2 just like you have said.
I think after db4 amp you can do 11, b11 for sure but dunno if db1 will connect gonna test it later.My personal combo that I do for v3 shang is:
F24/b3u4/b11/11 into db4 amp s1 b11 db1 amp s3 (or s2 if I can't hit slide after) bf4
Throw.Yo just recently picked up shang and hes great . Not talking about third var or spellmaster .
Morph is great move , I have much success catching ppl with it jumping or whatever. But my question is . What you do when ur morphed into char u dont know shit about ?
