ok it actually doesnt though because the quan that made top 8 at EVO played exclusively the SORCERER variation. And where the FUCK are the nerf sorecerer threads? Tell me. TELL ME. All i see is "oh unblockable setups need to go, cause the two summoners tied for 17th at EVO while the one sorcerer main made top 8

It's really hard to have a debate about Quan Chi.

Quans think the struggle is real because all they can do is 50 50/unblockable people to death.

Non Quans think the struggle is real because they're all getting unblockabled and 5050'd to death.

It's kinda hard to argue that there's skill in playing Quan, in the same way that it's kinda hard to argue that there's a skill in fighting against/defending against Quan.

HOWEVER, there are only 2 Quan players that I personally would consider a threat in the NRS tournament scene. Both Ketchup and Michaelangelo clearly. Nobody else comes close.

I suppose it's a pretty common concept for many characters, for example, you could probably count on one hand the true reps for each character. Most you won't even make to 5.

As a community we are pretty whack at our own game.

To be fair I tied with michaelangelo for 17th at evo. But he's much more traveller so I can see why he'd be the better pick

Quan didn't need a 6 frames , nor an OH safe launcher 50/50 into vortex as if he wasn't able to mix shit up before. Quan Chi takes the least skills to use out of all other characters. I'm an average joe and I can get as good as any other Quan I've seen playing out there if I wanted to. He has the best 50/50 and one of the best zoning plus on block you can convert from with the bat.

Their excuse for Quan being bad is not having good armor but think about it, there're other characters armors that can be stuffed with any 2 hitters Mileena being one of them. They don't have Quan Chi tools yet their armor still just as bad and unsafe and anyways with all of the options most characters have to break armors after a knockdown I'd say delayed wake up is the way to go in most scenario.

They also complained about not having a way out block infinites well those shouldn't be in the game in the first place

Hopefully you aren't trolling, but I do actually agree. People don't seem to realize that Quan does have weaknesses, despite him being the offensive power house he is. I do agree that he might need a couple of small tweaks, but nothing as drastic as some of the suggestions in these Quan threads the past few days.

you know what what he needs? he needs to go back to what he was before the patch as well as a damage nerf of at least 7% on every combos, that's what he needs so he can place him in top 3 tier list with other characters instead of his own.

I agree to a point. The 6f poke is helpful don't get me wrong, but it's not some ridiculous thing like people are making it out to be. It is punishable by any fast mids (I know there's not a lot but chill) and even if you don't get to punish him, it's definitely your turn after it and considering he's only +3 on hit he has NO GUARANTEED FOLLOWUPS like he does with his D3, which is still a far superior poke.

His B2 buff is totally useless and I would actually be happier if they just removed charged B2 from the game completely, the only thing its good for is execution errors.

However buff to skull was completely unnecessary and his unbreakable damage is now broke AF. I agree with the damage scaling too, he needs a bit of a damage nerf on his bat attacks, his damage in the other 2 variations is fine however.

I honestly think I can beat you Quan too if my Tempest Lao combos were on point right now but I work 40 hours a week and I haven't been playing much, mostly watching YOMI and other players streams on twitch, however I'm 100% confident I'm a better than you.

I'll keep your challenge in mind but as of now I just kinda curious to know how does challenging someone using the character he is clearly stating is broken proving a point somehow ?

If Quan does end up being the best character in this game, there's no real reason to complain if he still struggles in certain matchups. He's just a super good character. We hate his design, but meh, we can live. We dealt with Martian and Kabal, so we can't be too mad.
