There is really no hope for Sindel

I really don't use d4 naked, you never wanna start a low poke game against most characters especially Mileena or Reptile.

1,1,1 leaves you wide open to be punished if it's blocked. However 1,1 and a follow up special like fb works pretty well and is more safe. Even just 1,1 itself is safer.

3,1 is pretty safe. I dunno about 3,1,1 though.

There are some characters I zone and others I rush in against. For zoning, Sub Zero, Baraka, Johnny Cage, Lu Kang, Sheeva, Jax,....well to make this easy the only ones I rush down are the ones that have teleport lol. Once a character gets in it is difficult to get out. That's why it's important to know the little things. Like where will the last kick from step up will land from certain areas and such. I played online today(hate it) and people were getting sooooooo upset from me using Sindel. I was dominating those online warriors with thousands of wins lol. I tend to apply pressure with d4 into 44,111,repeat until they respect by crouch blocking and I punish with step up.

normally when someone picks sindel and the other person picks there teleporter character ppl are still expecting the sindel players to spam the fb. but when u suprise them with some rushdown techniques without gettinng caught up. they mostly likely will become very angry and normally rage quit esp when u shut there game down and proceed to go back to zoning. its a funny thing to watch.

Against tele characters I usually bait out the tele and then combo and get away. Sometimes I do time my fb to interrupt their tp and then get right in their face. Then again it depends on who it is, like if I fight Scorpion I don't wanna be too close to him unless I know it's safe.

At the end of the day I never just use 1 strategy to beat any character.

Although I havent shuffled through the whole roster I have also picked up on kabal and sektor. which seem to be fun characters as well. But still sindel is still pretty bad-ass. Well according to the infamous Tom brandy sindel has to be considered A or A+ tier to him. Now although we know brady is not a sindel player he seems to always know his stuff. Is there anything we are missing or over looking with sindel that we don't consider her top tier. Yes granted no armor is one of them things we want for her badly. But in the small sindel community we are content with what we are giving with for her and we don't complain hardly anymore. What are y'all thoughts on sindel?!? Is she possibly higher tier than what we place her to be or is she low tier as she always have been?! Thoughts?!. Just trying to get some ideas on sindel since its been quite dead in the forum lately. Has anyone come up with new tech for sindel since everyone is popping up with new tech for every other character?!.

I think people give Sindel more credit then she's due when they don't have all that much experience fighting against her. I'm sure that's not the case with Brady for obvious reasons..... but top tier, no. I really don't think she is. She is definitely a hell of alot better then she was. Mid tier, upper mid tier at most is where I think she'll fall.

Did I mention that I love Sindel?

Also this is just an opinion. I would like to see more of a breakdown about "why" he feels that way. High level play is something he has far more experience with than most, so I don't want to discredit that. But as of right now I'm not seeing it. The matchups being only just part of the puzzle.

I heard brady mention on the VSM stream two nights before NEC saying that Sindel DOES NOT need an armor move otherwise she would be OP. I don't necessarily agree with that, I mean cmon, he had to have been kidding. He also mentioned that she is already hard enough to "catch". Now that I agree with. Sindel is the best zoner in the game, IMO. Here's how I look at it...she isn't top tier but she is NO WHERE near the bottom. You have to be patient with Sindel...set the tone immediately with zoning and then sneak in and combo...I like to rush down starting the B1 etc...however I rarely land B3 starters unless it's a punish off of a blocked tele.

To me, there is a huge difference from being simply knowledgeable about every character, like Tom is, as opposed to getting out in the battle field and playing to win with these characters. The day a major is won by a Sindel, Sheeva, or Jade is the day that we can all shut up and reevaluate our "style" with Sindel. But until then, she needs something....

I'm don't think she's terrible, but if she's not at the bottom, then who is? All the top fighters, Raiden, Mileena, Kabal, Cyrax, Kung Lao, with the possible exception of Kitana give her trouble. Then you have Cage, Smoke, Noob, Ermac, and a couple others here and there who give her more trouble still. She probably has just as many bad matchups as she has even ones. I don't see how she can't be considered at or near the bottom, when at the very least 1/3 of the cast give her trouble.

It's not based off of match ups, it's based off of her tools, plus, there has been no high level sindel player showcase her at her full potential at tournaments.

If you're just going to zone with sindel, she's def F tier. You have to know how to fight upclose should it ever be needed. Sindel is a great zoner, but against most matchups, the other fighter will get close to her. She has decent tools, great mixups, levi cancel pressure, etc.

The reason why shes such in the bottom, is because people don't play her correctly.

I think Runwaymafia, should he have gone to NEC, would have showcased her wonderfully.

Same with Skarlet, skarlet imo deserves to be A+ just like tom said.

i know you didnt say i suck, but its implied regardless and its 100% right though. i always thought her rush down game was shit because i have been playing this past year with shitty delayed attacks. which made it hard for me to rush down and do stuff like d+1. i wasnt aware of this till this past weekend when i used @AC1984 sticks.

i also want to point out that sindel doesnt have the best zoning tools in the game. when theres kabal, kitana, freddys zoning is better. even noob is better at zoning.

shes also the only character in the game that doesnt have either an armor attack, a teleport or a 9 or lower frame attack that isnt a d+1. every character has atleast one of the 3 some have all 3..

I think sindel has great low and high mixup. I think her zoing is good. Instant air fireballs are fanastic in my opinion when catching a opponent who jumps at u constant. I just think it's hard to pressure properly. For me anyway. like when I see a sting I throw out to pressure and it gets block because the recovery is somewhat slow I leave myself open for punishment.
