Thanks, man. I appreciate it. =)
I've made four more avatars for anyone to wear!
ok so i cannot for the life of me do jasons command grabs when i want do jasons command grabs, especially his tick throws, they seem to happen whenever they fucking feel like it. b1~dbf2 almost always comes out as just b12, its the damn input for the throw, why the hell does it have to be dbf? and don't get me started on trying to do command grab reversals, i almost always get the choke instead.....
Yeah you just have to rep it out. It took me like 2 hours to get B1 xx dbf4 with Commando consistently.
im in the same boat. All his other tick throws I can get no problem.... B1 to DBF2 is next to impossible. In practice mode id get it maybe 1 out of 20 times. I have practiced it so much but eventually gave up on it. I just try to get in and do B3 to throw or OH shenanigans.
chances are you guy are pushing 2 too early
Am I the only one who thinks slasher is a bit too basic? I mean do any of you guys think after a couple of games he can probably be a boring character? Or am I mistaken that his only options seems f42 to do anything?
are you kidding? slasher is great if you know how to use him. He's got a great mid string and can easily make his overhead and low safe with his shoulder charge. not to mention get combo's in the corner.
Yea I'm a little uneasy about my post honestly, but yea if you can mix his f42 with f2 canceled into shoulder charge then yea that adds to his mind games. Also what's his mid string??
B3 is a mid that cannot be low-profiled. It's more so used in non-Slasher variations.
Slasher's great mid string is B1. It's got good range, is very quick, and (since it's a blade,) has no hurtbox. If you are on a few negative frames and are spaced properly, you can flat-out blow up pokes and other attacks as long as they don't reach Jason's hurtbox. You can perform B1,2,2 into a full combo for +30%.
I have trouble with slasher Jason because he doesn't have the full forward advancing b121 string to get in on opponents who are running away from me. Thats why I am unsure if this variation is on par with the other two.
it is, in fact its his safest variation. Not only that, but he has a great mid projectile and the ex version gains armor.
hey, what do you guys think about using b1 as an advancing tool instead of running or walking in, i've been doing that to people in the neutral where they try to come in and get hit b1 because thats how im moving towards them xD.
Yea the mind game comes from B3 - 1+3? Or is it 2+4? I know I just hit R1 on ps4 lol. It's his new tick throw.
Once they learn they can neutral duck the throw portion, (most people never do) then I go for B3 - D1 which is the OH and also a HKD.... AKA shenanigans.
ah, i just been really having trouble against a-list tho, played the other day, couldnt win a single match, my spacing was good, but once he managed to get in on me i didnt know what to do.
yeah absolutely, i picked up slasher again the other day and was bored out of my mind. unstoppable is a lot more fun and it's the best variation anyways
theres a few matchups i think that variation is worth learning for tho, like im thinking subzero maybe.
The recovery on Jason's big leg is absurd.
whats big leg again
still a great move, leaves u +7 on block
No I mean the recovery is too good. You can basically always meaty with it and D1 if they delay, like Sonic was doing to Hayatei.
ooh, i see, even better , so its jasons best meaty tool, so it recovers good on whiff then?
Yeah, only 14 frames of recovery on whiff. That's about the same as Mileena's B1.
