I got so triggered the other day

I could not anti air kitana.

I had to guess between. Jump in, Float, empty jump, float empty jump, float NJP, float jump in.

It will come a shock to all of you that our newly buffed D2 would not reach her most the time. So flipkick was my best option.

You either 2 or do D1 to stop her float

I'm doing quite okay without his Ex NP especially in wake up as I often got my turn back when people try to poke under my EX SK

Ex flipkick should have armour, it leads to nothing on hit and is pretty simple to whiff punish. Would mean hes not free in the air. Dont care if they make it negative again on block.

Edit/ need to make it non comboable in the corner if they did

Ex flip on anti air in the corner gives a full combo(This situation happens ALOT). Not to mention that it has a Jax d2 like hitbox, so you could flip somebody back in the corner after theyve jumped over you already. Im assuming the point of this patch was to take armor away from anything that can grant you a combo

True true. Just make them flop to the floor quickly then? I'd rather have an armoured mid than a situational combo starter.

I think people need to understand that in this meta, wake up SKRC is going to be very good
Hahah, genuinely mentioned that to foxy a while ago, been using that for ages, skc f2 catches people more often than you'd think. They see wakeup sign at the bottom and the quickstand from the shadow kick cancel and sit and wait for you to fly over their head.

Risk reward is pretty dogshit though, like foxy told me, tech roll f3.

If that skc gets interrupted you can't break for ageees. Probably worse in this meta than before.

It is better this way
Pros: good footsies, good projectile, decent pressure

Cons: no mixups, below average damage, really bad risk/reward on armor, bad anti airs

Yeah idk he's not a terrible character at all I'm just confused on what he is supposed to do

Then they you're at 0+ frames with them half screen, which isnt good for johnny.
If they're at half screen and 0+ frames then you're both neutral correct? So not really super disadvantageous for Johnny but it depends on the MU ofc.

But i mean, zoning is a lot stronger and he has to work his way in after every grab, he doesnt build the meter he used to for ex sk and he cant run in and pressure on a list.

That grabs are good but its not guna kill folks, most smart players tech towards the corner so means you'll have to keep your game midscreen, where johnny is now not super strong.

I never really had fun with A-List, he wasn't flashy enough for me. I can't find a reason to play SD which was who I used to play pre patch. Kinda sad.

I think stamina management is a bitch for A-List and if he gets in, he gets one cancel maybe, into either a throw sending them half screen which is trash or a 23% combo which is kinda ass. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't want to jump to conclusions, but am I missing something?

Dont want to be one of those players who is like 'damn my character doesnt completely dominate here anymore so hes useless' but it just seems like his strengths are just like meeeeeeh.

I would just use fisticuffs if b12 wasnt the most spectacularly inconsistent string in the game.

I'll keep plugging away with him, see how things go.
