Can't you do 113 rc 113 ex np 12 f3 cancel 12 f3 np? Goodness it's been so long since iv played Johnny can't remember if you get enough stamina back
This is actually something i've labbed some time ago.

You can get enough stamina for another run cancel in a combo if you delay it for the maximal amount of time. After the second 113 you don't go with ex nutpunch immidiately. You go for a normal one and burn the meter at the last second possible. Then you go for a 12 at the right moment so you gain stamina back and you go for the f3, 12, f3xxnp.

You don't just lower plus frames with cancels. The reason why we received the delay in the first place was to lower the advantage we get. In terms of being plus we're actually pretty blessed it's just the application of advantage is where the problem lies.

This video pretty much sums it up:
Dragon fire + frames on fbrc were lowered without having delay frames (in previous patches when he used to be +13 not the most recent one when he is +10). The input delay was the same. Also some other cancel characters like jax, marksman, they have almost no delay on their cancels but they still have almost no adv on block. my point is, they can remove the 5 frame delay with having Johnny with the current + frames on block. I think they can do that with tweaking the block stun on every string he has not really sure how they lower + frame adv of cancels though, but it's still applicable to redue + frames on canceled special without increasing delay frames referring to DF, HW, MM cancels example.

Anyway, you guys remember 16 bit posting JC beating a dead horse pic? This is the answer for anytime someone suggests a change for JC sadly.

I read the thread before it was great actually lol. I kinda wish NRS took their time on the latest patch. I mean the balance patch was great, but you can see that they weren't really thoughtful with balancing a-list. they could've just lower the block stun on his strings to lower the + adv on block, but they just decided to fuck up the cancels timing instead.

After doing that (which was an answer in my post of fisticuffs suggestions), fisticuffs got actually buffed, with the exact same main buff i had been proposing for a year.

So either his trolling means nothing, or nrs was not planning to patch at that point and they finally decided to do so.

And yeah, this patch was clearly not well-thought. However it's given mkx the last dying breath that it needed. From this point on this game is DONE.

Fisticuffs would've easily been the best variation after this patch.. but..
Alas! B12 inconcistencies ... This one is never going to change.

Liu kang??? Surely he does now?

Liu kang got endless buffs to help him in that matchup and cage got a pile of nerfs plus the stamina changes.

I think Cage loses to Balanced now too. Not by a large margin though.

I would also add Cassie, reptile, goro, pyromancer, and sorcerer. (and maybe kano)

I personally think cage goes even with smoke and sektor.
Smoke: F3 punishes any string into meterless smoke ball on reaction. Might be slightly in smokes favor but i dont think its too bad.
Sektor: F3 is a consistent punish vs air dash. If sektor does his up missle/homing missile shenanigans cage can trade with nutpunch for about 40%. I don't think theres really anything sektor does that johnny doesnt have an answer for.

Just my 2 cents.

I think Cage loses to Balanced now too. Not by a large margin though.
Cage can do the job against Balanced (At least Fisticuffs and A-list), he has the (Ghetto ?) pressure and can win the zoning trade. You just have to mix with the high and the low forceball in case the opponent wants to send your projectile back

I think that the fact that f3 skrc s1 doesnt jail on cassie is pretty big.

Havent played a goro in a minute but I doubt a good goro would get zoned out by cage. Idk though. Punchwalk is scary and his d1-special game is kinda dumb lol

Not played the matchup much, whats so bad about it.
Easily blows up your d4 game with his b2 string which can also punish alist f3(4) stuff in neutral by mixing your inputs, as in he changes sides and you can't rc it. On wakeup you're free, f3 slide goes under sk and if you block it d1 is too slow to retaliate and d3 is not always a good answer due to how minus it is, put his usual shenanigans on wake up on top of that and it's nasty. Your tickthrow stuff is seriously weakened due to smoke away on knockdown, you can bait and f3 I think, but not sure. Smokebombs on block can be f3'd yea, but that is just one tool of Smoke and not a that useful one while it's also quite hard to react (or I'm just slow). I've also seen him smoke through sloppier run cancels and dash cancels.

I'm an admittedly low-end Cage player, but I can't see anything right now that Johnny can do against Smoke.

It doesn't jail on non of the small hurt box chars

Also just today i found out that the second 1 of 11 whiffs on many characters while the first one hits.. High/mid right? Blocking triborg ducking for one.. it's just pissing off.
