ALL I HAVE IS THE GREEN.
Can confirm Shazzy is a nice dude offline. It took like 3 months to get him to come out and play at a local but he finally did start coming out and did really well and everybody loved him. It wasn't too long after that when Super Arcade closed. I've since left Socal as well.

I don't blame him for not getting into the Capcom offline scene. They aren't mean by any stretch, but they can be super hollywood and cliquey. The NRS scene was much more welcoming and friendly, imo.

The NRS scene was LESS hollywood and cliquey? Jeez the Capcom scene must have been MEGA hollywood and cliquey to beat out that :DOGE

I can't speak for every local NRS scene but Socal and Chicago are super nice and welcoming. Socal has Nubcakes and Wonderchef who are like the nicest people in the world. Chicago has a bunch of great people and the scene changes alot with each game but everybody is always very welcoming. If you are ever here, we'll treat you good ;) Everybody should come out for Combo Breaker. It's probably the most fun you could possibly have at an FGC event.

Made a choice between Combo Breaker and CEO and decided to go to CEO I'm afraid. That way I can get there a bit earlier and leave a bit later so I can work on getting a tan :cool:

I've heard good things about CEO too. Everyone talks about CEO and Combo Breaker as the most well organized events. Of course EVO is up there as well but I've only been to Combo Breaker.

EVO is actually always a clusterfuck, but if you've never been it's definitely worth going to at least once. Much bigger than any major in just about anything; competition, hype, stands and merchandise, demos/previews of new games, most people so you get to see/meet a lot of fgc people from all over the globe, plus it's in fuckin Vegas so it's not hard to have a good time there.

CEO is my personal favorite, people's reaction to the ring and the intros is something I'll never forget lol. Final Round is second best coz (from the times I went) there was HELLA casual setups to get games in which is always neat for warm-ups/moneymatch/just to play, but I haven't been to Combo Breaker so that's not on the scale.
Personally I enjoy east coast majors much more, their vibe is way more upbeat and I have a better time in them overall.
SCR and Northwest majors are solid too.

I went to SCR twice while I was in LA. It was pretty good both times. No complaints. I don't know if it's the same now since Valle changed the dates and venue and there's all these SCR "prelude" events and such.

Yeah SCR and NWM to me feel more like big local tourneys as opposed to the feel I get from other majors, but I have a good time so it doesn't really matter lol.

This is bullshit. I try to stay out of the Shazzy drama (lol), and I know he doesn't need anyone jumping to his defense but I'mma do it anyway. The dude helped me get into the FGC, played hundreds of games with me and offered to view some of my matches to help me out even when we weren't playing. He went out of his way to do this. Calling someone a shitty person and autistic (I'm not that touchy, but come the fuck on) because you're kind of beefing over a video game is just ridiculous, especially when what you're saying is completely inaccurate.

Well he's obviously got his fans, check out Myles. And it's totally possible he's neither of those things, he just pretends to be them on tym. I've said multiple times he's got a "persona" that he thinks is clever or amusing.

Oh yeah, I've heard great things about KIT too. Alot of the Chicago peeps try to go every year. Combo Breaker is coming pretty soon. Might want to start planning for it now if you want to go (hotel, pre-reg, etc). It's going to be huge for Injustice 2 as well.

You might be able to do gameshare on PS4 to do online training mode. Not sure how exactly it works though...
