So the other day I'm playing my friend's alt Mileena. Piercing variation, because of course. We're both down to a pixel of life and I just knocked her down.

Now, I'm playing Cybernetic Kano. The whole reason you play Cyber Kano is for the mid knives. So I go to chip her out and what happens? Roll under to a full combo. On a mid-hitting knife.

Sigh.

at least kano's b1 goes slightly high even though its a mid and shouldn't get rolled. Lao's overhead b2 goes low to the ground and still completely misses Ball roll. Like

THIS TIMES 100. You're literally pigeonholed to use CT and your option to zone and control space with projectiles is nullified when fighting Mileena because Mid Knives are little threat to piercing. You have to get right in her face, and it's kind of criminal how fast the Sais recover in that MU. However, this gripe is for Cybernetic. Cutthroat vs. Piercing is great, but Cybernetic is close to just giving Piercing Mileena the round.

How many characters have safe 50/50s or 50/50s that lead into more 50/50s should you guess right?

Umm... What!?!? I've been playing this character for a year and I didn't realize we had 50/50 loops /s? scratch that, didn't realize you said loop 50/50 or safe 50/50. Unrelated note, but F/T deserves safe 50/50 because we lose ferra almost every time we do one.

Free as in there is no resource for it, and/or it is safe or plus. No resource means you are ALWAYS on the lookout for it because as it suggests, they don't have to rely on meter or stamina to get it going, and one option is 99% of the time safe anyways, so you're guessing between the safe 50/50 or the unsafe one, both which still have you guessing at any given point. As for gaps, nearly everyone has them, or they have methods to patch them up OR just not make them in the first place and bait.

Ferra is the resource, F/T might just have the most costly 50/50 in the game because we lose a massive chunk of our moveset without her

If I am reading this right....give Ravenous an armoured ex Sai?

As for the suggestions, B12 can get more whiff recovery, damage scaling and generally less meter building and she would be fine. Maybe even revert the recovery from sais to pre-XL.

My curiousity lies in if she is made "fairer" how many people will drop her as in this game the consensus is being made "fair" can also mean being "ruined".

How about low sai does 5% down from 6%? less chip less meter as well. Like Predator's low laser treatment

b12 isnt the "problem"

her meterbuild/lack of need to use meter in combos is.
tone down piercing meterless damage, also maybe less meter build on low sai.

no change should effect ravenous/ethereal is a bad way.
maybe even give a tweak to ravenous as even with a toned down piercing be still little reason to ever pick it over the other two imo

I once suggested reducing B1 damage from 5% to 3% (effectively reducing meter gain, chip and combo damage) and low sai damage from 6% to 5%
But noone cared lol
Keep in mind that although piercing meterless damage is great, she can't spend 1 bar to do better combos like everyone else can. B12 hit confirm into ex telekick doesn't do her much

Mileena's B1 literally has about 10 less frames of recovery than almost all 9-13 frame mids. It's insane.

Yeah, and Saltface's suggested that its given more recovery. Not making it like Kotal's b1 with the recovery, I agree, thats crazy haha. I'm really just throwing it out there for stagger purposes.

Lets be serious, it doesn't take loads of omg jeez bro skill to use a mid that recovers at twice the speed that others do. Lets stop acting like, because Foxy is EU's favorite son, that it's all skill to play her. Her jump 1 doesn't even need to auto correct, and she never needs to spend meter.

The people who think that Mileena is any less of a potato than Sonya, probably do not even know the concept of recovery, or they play the character and downplay hard. Foxy can win every major ever, that doesn't mean that he's right in saying that she's not top 5. She's a lock for top 5, period.

I mean sure, we can act like Mileena's meterbuilding, meter usage, meterless midscreen damage, etc, doesn't exist, and just compare her mix ups to Alien, Sonya, Cutthroat. None of those other things matter. Lets also act like her mid doesn't exist. F1 too? Yeah, maybe then she's not top 5.

Alien wins in the neutral. When you want to downplay your character, you cannot exclude the neutral, or you have to downplay Alien to. Takeda as well.
