Has no one noticed that batman and the like can parry her b2, bc i am 93% sure that that's happened to me several times.
Oh that's been like that since Injustice 1, only difference is the new animation makes it so Wowo doesn't like teleport to him now.Has no one noticed that batman and the like can parry her b2, bc i am 93% sure that that's happened to me several times.
Thats unbelievably dumb, her lasso shouldnt have a hurtbox, it should be similar to MKX alien's tail pre patch.Oh that's been like that since Injustice 1, only difference is the new animation makes it so Wowo doesn't like teleport to him now.
I love your enthusiasm for Bae.So so so much wrong with your perspective and kinda illustrating just how casual you are...
Q. What is her gameplan?
A. Pretty simple, either gets a life lead and turtles, which can be done within the first 2 seconds on the match, or walk the opponent down to lock them in the corner, or juggle the two as needed. It isn't rocket science.
Q. Where does she spend her most of time on screen.
A. Anywhere she needs to be. Ain't rocket science. If you don't need to engage, you stay away. If you need to move in, she has a half screen advancing special and a massive JI3.
Q. What are her options at full screen?
A. None. Neither does a good chunk of the rushdown characters. Fullscreen presence doesn't equal good. Blue Beetle has fullscreen options, as does Supergirl or Firestorm, yet where are their godlike placements?
Q. How do you get in?
A. Being smart and patient, jumping on reaction, bashing on reaction, and again, being a smart player overall.
Q. How do you stay close?
A. Simple. Stay in lasso and shield ranges. They can't touch you but you can punish their attempts for trying. It's not that complex.
Q. How do you open up your opponent?
A. F3/B3 = wrong. She lacks an actual mix, but she has safe specials and jump ins so again, IF you're smart, you will keep chipping away at them until they get frantic and try to challenge her range and safety. MKX Kitana had no mix yet SOMEHOW, she was getting combos going. I wonder why...
Q. Why can't you use lasso grab or shield bash to close the distance?
A. Um, you can? Her moveset is designed around a midrange game so I don't really see why you would want to stay upclose? Even though you still can, but just wondering.
Q. What are her good normal options that allow her to get in? Any advancing strings?
A. Well since you believe she MUST be played upclose, I don't think answering this will get through to you.
Akro, when you talk about her meter building are you speaking of the bracelets parry building meter or other general moves building it? I will never forget the online matches I had a couple weekends ago versus Batman. I parried so many batarangs but his meter build rate eclipsed mine.I agree with the side switch, but only because Aquaman for whatever stupid reason can choose his side, so why can't we. That's it. The gap is honestly whatever because it isn't a string to use upclose, but it'd be nice to no gap either way.
-She needs a faster D2, the more pros you play, the more you'll notice its pretty inferior to the rest of the cast
-She needs a better sweep so that we actually have reason to use it and utilize its low profiling properties
-She needs an active B2; you'll also notice it going through opponents as you start to incorporate it more
-Bracelets need a speed buff, not a meter build buff; she builds great meter as is
-Choosing trait would help tremendously because no one buff is going to be a staple. Each one has its own specific use and some are rather useless in certain MU's even Hermes and Athena which most people think are the go-to's
That's the thing, most people here want a top tier character but it doesn't always work like that. She is far from being as bad as some people in this thread are saying, I actually stay away from her forums for this reason (I'm sure I'm not the only one), she takes a looot of patience and she can hold her own against everyone.I love your enthusiasm for Bae.
Imagine how many more wins if WoWo was as good as Black Adam WoWo players would have though.
And I'll definitely play her once she get's those buffs. I'm as good as I can be with her right now, so I'll learn other people till WonderBae gets the love she deserves. That's the thing, most people here want a top tier character but it doesn't always work like that. She definitely has losing MUs but no one destroys her at all, she is one or two buffs away to be 100% good to go IMO.
I liked her design in IGAU more as well but they already changed her and we can't do anything about it but asking for buffs only to make her more like herself is a mistake. People are asking for changes she doesn't even need... let's just let IGAU WW go and focus on what we gotAnd I'll definitely play her once she get's those buffs. Butttt my two mains in Injustice 1 were Aquaman and WoWo and both were about equally as good tier-wise....
So playing this game it is SUPER clear to see that completely changed. And I have no idea why they did that to WoWo when she was not broken or in need of being the ONLY legacy character to be 95% changed.

Wow is that the truth. Especially if you want to use the parry and not get clobbered. Something about timing for it to get started is very different in this one.The more I play this character, the more patient I become, and the more wins I get. I'm very much ready to agree she doesn't need some laundry list of buffs. I have a pet peeve against the random trait, but after watching @Akromaniac27 vids I'm ready for every single outcome of the trait and seem to use it well. People aren't ready for a 25% mb bash after bracelets. Also it's fun to watch people's minds explode when you get airdash and don't instantly use it.
I think she still requires a bit more hard reading than some of the characters in this game, but that's pretty normal. After playing hawkgirl in igau, and kenshi in MKX I'm pretty used to it.
@EMPRESS_SunFire is right, these forums are a huge turn off now, keep grinding people and you'll get there.
OMG I am so excited to see it!! I hope you will how to parry all the hits in Superman's MB Flying Punch. I cannot nail this down and can only sometimes catch the first two hits. Her parry is interesting to say the least. I'll make a video about it's usefulness soon.
I seem to remember her flying in the movie. The whole thing for her was a progression of powers, getting stronger over the course of the movie with her eventually hovering in mid air in the end fight. I'm also remembering the last scene in the movie is her flying over the city like Superman. Either I'm mis remembering big time, or she flew plenty for her origin movie. To me it seems obvious that WW is based on her movie (as opposed to comic book) persona. That would explain the huge changes in her playstyle from Injustice 1.
In the movie her fighting style is very heavily based on the use of her sword and shield, and less so hand-to-hand combat and/or using her lasso which is used more sparingly.
This has been translated into her character in the game and there's definitely parallels to be made.
- Her super move initiation animation (and parry) is parallel with her crossing the bracelets on her in the movie.
- Sword of Athena is also from the movie too in one of the fight scenes.
- If you've seen the film then you'll know Amalthea's protection is taken from that scene on No-Mans land.
- WW doesn't demonstrate any current ability to fly in the film, although she does have an amazing leap. This is probably why they took her air dash away.
There's definitely progression of her powers, and she kind of 'hovers' in one particular scene which I avoided for spoilers, but the vast majority of the film she doesn't fly.I seem to remember her flying in the movie. Unfortunately they did that all without making her a competent fighter. Give me one forward advancing string plzTo me it seems obvious that WW is based on her movie (as opposed to comic book) persona. That would explain the huge changes in her playstyle from Injustice 1.

She's definitely defying gravity, but not straight out flying. Not sure why they are leaving that ambiguous in both movies so far. There's definitely progression of her powers, and she kind of 'hovers' in one particular scene which I avoided for spoilers, but the vast majority of the film she doesn't fly.
Off the top of my head, and hoping I'm actually remembering right about all of it here -What did they buff for her, anyone watch the stream?
something about "more comboable" something i saw somewhere?Off the top of my head, and hoping I'm actually remembering right about all of it here -
Less recovery on trait activation, F23 is now safe, B23 is advantage. I think that's it, but feel like I'm forgetting something.
being able to combo off her air shield throw -nRs gave it the same properties as the ground shield toss.Off the top of my head, and hoping I'm actually remembering right about all of it here -
