Wouldn't it be awesome if Killer Frost's trait worked as such:
You charge it all the way to gain one bar of meter. Then it resets and you can do so again. No advantage during cancels.

Almost no character will want to stay full screen and lame it out, they'll come to us.

Which is exactly where we want them.

No she'd still be bad.

Correct Buff:
KFs parry is also able to block projectiles similar to WWs and fills her Trait bar whilst doing so.
After 3 parrys you can press 4 to activate trait and it works the same as it currently does only everything is unclashable

I'm on XBL right now. If you want to settle this outside jump on your Xbox and come see me.

I will not stand for this any longer.

You want some of this as well? So be it. I didn't want this. Remember; you brought this on yourself.

I'll see to you when I'm done with the traitor.

Dunno if you guys knew this, but MMH's 222 string can be parried if you are blocking low.

Edit: did some further testing. This string is weird. If MMH is in trait, there's a certain range where the string cannot be parried, even while blocking low. That range is basically at the start of the round and further away. Any step closer, and the string gets parried.

Makes sense I guess, considering the actual properties of his 111 string changes depending on whether or not he's in trait. So the parry properties may be a lingering quirk because NRS.
EDIT: Actually this isn't necessarily true. Haven't tested this version, but there was a parryable special the Flash has that couldn't be parried as a wake up from point blank range.

OK guys let's talk Zod.

Just got done getting my back blown out by General M2Dave and he was honest with me by telling me I played the MU wrong. So I need your help.

I was mainly turtling. I was anticipating gunshots and TA a lot, since she can punish them with spike, but that seems like a bad idea. Right after his trait would disappear, I would try to zone him, but that's a bad idea because he's just recovering the trait. The zoning was such a problem, can jump because of the orbs and iadash, can dash because of orbs, gunshot and dash, and can't wait because of mb ground laser.

The MU became MUCH easier once I finally got in, but getting in seems like to be the main problem, for me at least.

I really thought I knew the MU too lol. I don't want this to sway my decision on the MU, but man, I got my ass kicked lol.

First of all, a single series does not determine a match. Tom and I will talk more about this misconception on the podcast because Pig also believes in that nonsense.

You need to familiarize yourself with some of Zod's frame traps. For example, if you block an MB low laser, side arm cannot be interrupted but can be crouch blocked. Iceberg trades with regular and fast rifle shots, but I recover faster on the ground unless you do MB iceberg. Also, trait activation after blocked MB low laser is not guaranteed. You can punish Zod with iceberg but not on reaction because of the block advantage.

Phantom strike (i.e., the palm) is horrendous on whiff. Every time you see Zod whiff slide for the easy punish.

The problem with spamming daggers is that you do no chip damage while Zod's trait is recharging. If I were a Killer Frost player, I would stay at mid range just outside of phantom strike range where you can slide under side arm, whiff punish phantom strike, jump over rifle shots, etc. Zod's post-slide game is excellent, but I would still slide randomly sometimes.

I am not sure who wins this match, but I am very confident that Zod wins on a stage like the prison cell.

Interesting. Ascertaining knowledge in the Zod match up thus far has been an exercise in futility due to the free nature of the Zods I've played, which is why I felt I never really understood the match up. After all, a wise man once said 'Ascertaining knowledge in the Zod match up thus far has been an exercise in futility due to the free nature of the Zods I've played, which is why I felt I never really understood the match up.'

Perhaps I should stop being a stubborn fuddy duddy and actually buy the character to figure him out. It slipped my mind that I can also use him as a training dummy and senselessly beat him with the rest of the cast, as I do now with Sinestro. But in terms of playing the MU, I never really stayed full screen in the matches I DID play. I knew I could troll rookie Zod players into never letting them get their trait out (believe me, it's hilarious to see him wave his arm 7+ times in a match and creating a meta game of them DESPERATELY trying to call the trait) but I knew this fraudulence would not be withstanding. During matches with decent Zods (one tournament placer who will not be named due to his anger and verbal abuse after the matches) I pretty much stayed within footsie range while they either played the footsie game with me, or backed themselves into a corner. Traiting this close could easily backfire, and some would smartly air Zod charge out of the way. Overall it seemed like they weren't confident enough up close, which is why I assumed Zod had problems there. Whenever I don't know enough about a MU, I do the smart thing and leave it as 6-4 Frost until further notice.

Oh and PL's Zod was in training so I won't even count it. However there was also some degree of verbal abuse from him, albeit of a lighthearted nature. :D (Not so much from the other Zod player who will not be named, who knows who he is, who thinks I've forgotten the things he's said)

Long story short, KT Smith alone cannot save you; Zod will not prosper, Frost 4lyfe, fear me etc.

What move is the side arm? I keep hearing about it but I'm not sure what exactly it is. Is it a normal or a special? The only arm swiping move I know he has is his parry...

I think the general consensus has always been that the jury is out on this MU since the DLC is pretty recent and at least in my case, I put the game down until this latest patch. Zod is a great character, especially if m2dave thinks he is mediocre.

Dlc has been out since July 2nd, I've played a ton of frost matches because of recent gripes w sinestro and frost MU

I've asked u many times to play it but never do u accept

Maybe it's you who hasn't played it much but for me I've played a ton so I'm comfortable saying at minimum it's 5-5
