Ok, say you get a knock down on your opponent...What are you going to pressure with?Literally the only two buffs he needs are:
Make trait startup 5 frames faster (to get those tricky combos down)
And make stampede cancels easier to do..
Boom he just became more than viable
Stampede cancels mixed in with b2 pounces/ grabs and staggers..Ok, say you get a knock down on your opponent...What are you going to pressure with?
Grabs I understand. Brave to use Stampede cancels. Pounces are D2'd on reaction.Stampede cancels mixed in with b2 pounces/ grabs and staggers..
Stampede cancels on block and mid combo are the hardest thing to do. Everything else is just muscle memory , hard part is playing him in the neutral and opening ppl up.Is grodd difficult to use I am looking into him, he seems interesting to me.
I think it works well on a lot of the cast but it does get stuffed a lot. He literally cannot D2 Flash or Harley.D2 is supposed to be a good AA... It gets stuffed or trades all the time.
My fear is once the SC does get fixed there will be a lot of new grodd players jumping on this Locomotive!!!You know what...You guys are right...after really labbing, all we need is that SC to be fixed and we gucci frfr...then let's take it from there
As far as I know there is absolutely zero use for his ground pound after float. Absolutely useless as far as I'm concerned. If 2,2,1+3 was overhead and his float could be canceled into from a leap or jump, Grodd would climb the ladder for sure. He has great damage ( when you can land a hit ) and he has several ways to get in on zoning. MB roll, leap, MB stampede, projectile invulnerability. The one question I have is what is the use of his ground pound after float?
More ppl to play the character and find tech the better always good to have more brains on something. My fear is once the SC does get fixed there will be a lot of new grodd players jumping on this Locomotive!!!
I kinda doubt it. He's no fan favorite like Batman and Superman, and his core gameplay doesn't have enough tricks to ever make him top 10 material. My fear is once the SC does get fixed there will be a lot of new grodd players jumping on this Locomotive!!!
Was wondering why you do a combo like 221+3, B2~DF1B, J2, then go right into mix up when you can still add on another B2~DF1B, J3, D2, B2~DF1B, J2Got some gameplay for my Grodd Familia...hope to receive some pointers and maybe this may help some of you as well.
Thank you my brethren, I will definitely lab more!!!Was wondering why you do a combo like 221+3, B2~DF1B, J2, then go right into mix up when you can still add on another B2~DF1B, J3, D2, B2~DF1B, J2
Seems like you're losing a bunch of possible damage.
I like the cancels in the first vid though. Well done.
Grodd looks soooo fun to play.. I think I might consider him as a secondary... Who knowsGot some gameplay for my Grodd Familia...hope to receive some pointers and maybe this may help some of you as well.
He really is bro! I really appreciate that also. Just trying to learn and get betterGrodd looks soooo fun to play.. I think I might consider him as a secondary... Who knows
BTW ggs m8
Can I get a link as well??
They look hype af lmao sadly the amount of works it takes to even get it once out of 5 is absurd. There's not a lot I wouldn't give to be able to play like my Grodd AI loadout. Them CRAZY combos using SC and B2 where I didn't even think was possible.
