F Champ Receives Lifetime Ban, Racism in the FGC/USA, and Other Prevalent Social Discussions

We all die alone. So love yourself before you go.
One thing I’ve learned in this thread is, if you don’t have proof or don’t know the answer, turn the question around.
What does the thread title say? It’s US centric is it not? And yet here you are talking about YOUR experiences which have FUCK ALL to do with racism in the US. It’s okay to have an opinion on these matters and not be American, but you’re trying to overwrite the first hand experiences of POC here who live in the US and tell them how things really are/how to feel. How you think this is okay to do is beyond me. So fucking patronising.

No matter how you spin this, you look like a fool for trying to speak with authority on matters that don’t concern you.

@jokey77 sorry bro but you write a lot for someone who could simply read through the thread, where you’ll have many answers to your questions.
Uh huh, yeah... you don’t say! You are so smart. God, you’re better than me, please tell me more. Every syllable enlightens me to how wrong I am about everything.

Great response. Your flawed position has been so beautifully exposed, so what else to do but to chat nonsensical shit?

Stick to topics you know about or have first hand experience with yeah? Maybe if we have a thread on Germany I can shit that up with my non-existent experiences there.

Another one bites the dust. I’ll say it for as long as I need to, you right wing trolls aren’t slick. Way too easy to spot.

All I've attacked him with are questions, if he wants to defend himself with answers we can get it on but that's not how he operates go ahead and point to the part where he gave me a fair chance.
This is false. You called him an idiot and swore a lot. I'm not telling you how to speak to people, but people will listen more if you don't resort to personal attacks.

Case in point, I think I've been really polite with you, and yet you've said stuff like calling me "big guy" (see down below). Shrug.

First question for you, where? What proof do you have that they exist? Besides someone else's word that it happened. Second, if they exists which is there more of, violent protesting or peaceful protesting? Third, is there any way to deal with the violent protesting without causing violence to the peaceful protestors?
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking if I have proof that there have been violent protests?

If this is a genuine question and you actually have not seen any evidence of violent protests, then sure, I can provide a bunch of links. But I'm genuinely surprised because as much as there have been many peaceful assemblies, there are some areas, like Portland, that are a complete warzone.

I... What? Do you exist in a bubble? Google any celebrity and blm and see how far it takes to get to an article (probably on Fox news) that attacks their character and integrity. Google Colin Kaepernick, Google Moment of Unity.
Your first mistake is using Fox News as an example. It is a right-wing news source that will glorify right-wing views. Much like CNN will do the same for left-wing news.

Other media sources, like Twitter, Facebook, and many sports organizations are quite supportive of the movement. Hell, the law firm I'm at even has BLM plastered across its website page.

Just look up Mitch McConnell sitting on bills, or better yet, follow an actual senator or representative on Twitter and get the word from their mouth.
Sounds good, I'll do this. Curious to read more about it.

No, I shouldn't because bill Clinton isn't running for president, Donald Trump is. Also, and this is key, you have no idea who I am supporting now. You just made a gigantic egregious assumption based on me being anti Trump. Good job being part of the problem.
Bill Clinton is not running for President but he clearly has ties to the democratic party and they are using him as a support vehicle.

You're right, I did assume you support the democratic party (I mean, its a two-party system after all). Apologies for assuming.

But that doesn't change anything, really. Whether you support the democratic party or not, they are still using the likes of Bill Clinton to push their platform. And he is a sexist piece of shit.

Oh really, what did onryoki mean? I think once you both explain it to me I'll finally be able to understand.
I think I know what he meant, but if he wants to explain, he can do it. I don't want to put words in his mouth, it will only create confusion.

You miss understand my purpose in posting, my respect in this thread is to the supporters of blm and people who think people like Filipino Champ are fucking stupid. If you're in the other side or even in the middle get fucked, because cutting racists slack is not my bag.
I literally said I support the BLM movement. I am critical of some of the things that exist around the movement, as I have expressed in this thread, but at no time did I say I don't support it. I also made it clear I don't support Trump.

Do you think I became a human rights and employment lawyer because I hate minorities, or something? lol.

I get tired of this please explain to me why you have it so bad crap. LOOK AT THE PROTESTS, FOLLOW BLM ON TWITTER, OR JUST READ MY POSTS. Stop asking systemically oppressed people to dice up their oppression into palatable servings for you to analyze when it's convenient.
I am not asking you to "dice up" anything. I am saying that things have come a long way in the U.S. especially when compared to other countries in the world. All I am trying to do is say that the U.S. is not all doom and gloom despite being a shit-hole.

Could Michael Jordan have become a billionaire when slavery existed?

No matter how shitty slavery WAS black people are STILL killed every single day in this country with no recourse, often to thunderous applause. Ask yourself if every time you saw a cop or did something illegal no matter how small or appeared to be doing something illegal or just pissed off the wrong person and they decided to call the cops, you could die, or be robbed, or raped, much less simply over charged and given the stigma of criminal or felon or worse and your family would get NOTHING for the trouble. If you could die, literally every day, for doing nothing, would you feel that things had improved? If you knew your co workers were being paid differently or given different opportunities, would you feel things had improved?
I'm genuinely sorry you feel that way. Like I said, I help people who have been discriminated against and had their human rights violated, so I am sorry.

You tell me the improvements. People say slavery is gone. They say oppression is gone. But look at the statistics on black people starving, without healthcare or homeless, these are numbers they beat us over the head with. Things are better now, sure you used to get whipped but now you can die in an alley smelling like your own urine. Is it better now that only half the population of black people are fucked right out of the gate and not the full 100?
Well, slavery is illegal in the U.S., no? I do believe oppression exists, sure, but your issues with lack of health care, and homelessness are not related to slavery. Rather, those issues are related to a terrible safety net and social infrastructure in the U.S..

The fact that you think reparations could be perceived as differential treatment but either excuse or outright excuse the blatant differential treatment on display in this country should give you pause.
Affirmative action programs that give minorities more funding than white people to get into good schools? Good reparations. Letting people steal a Gucci purse in the name of social justice? Bad reparations.

I'm all for affirmative action programs, but the "reparations" I have seen on display is just people looting and vandalizing random shit that has nothing to do with anything. People of all colors, by the way.

I'm all for the creation of programs that give minorities the freedom and flexibility to pursue education, enrichment, and all of the other life basics.

Couple things,
  1. The president of the United States gets up on stage and lies to the American people every single night. He has been impeached, he has face sexual harassment claims, he has been openly racist in his business dealings and foreign policies. He has spoken almost treasonously about this country and it's past administrators, including many members of the party that now supports his presidency. If none of that disqualifies you being president of the country, how does being a self declared "Marxist" disqualify anything about blm or it's founder.
I agree, and this is why I said I don't support him.

I am not saying that being a Marxist disqualifies BLM. You said in your previous post that people would respond to BLM by labelling it as Communist, and Marxist, in order to attack its character.

I responded to this by saying that BLM's co-founder called herself Marxist. That's all.

  1. What does being a Marxist have to do with blm? What does ANY political affiliation have to do with the assertion that black lives matter? If the issue were truly apolitical blm being Marxist or Communists or socialist shouldn't be relevant since no one is voting them in to office.
Well, there shouldn't be anything political about the statement "black lives matter", I agree. But its obvious that political undertones have been inserted into the movement. For example, BLM used to have on its website that it wanted to "remove the nuclear family" (recently removed by BLM, by the way). And when you click on donations on the website, you are taken to a democratic party donation site.

I'm not saying this political tie devalues the movement, I'm just saying there is a political tie.

Right. So why are there more of us in poverty in more places than all the other races if not systemic racism? Did we do it to ourselves? Dumb luck? Something in our blood? You're almost there big guy.
I am not denying systemic racism, I agree it exists. Please stop being condescending with comments like "big guy". I've been very respectful towards you this whole time. We're adults. If we were having this conversation in person, you might realize that I actually agree with you overall even if I have a few critiques about some things.

How would you feel if somebody in an even shittier country replied to this post and told you listen, it could be a lot worse, you could live where I do. Would you be like actually, you're right, and just mentally excuse all the bad stuff? Or would it still make you mad when you think about your dad, your ancestors, your descendants?

Do you send your father messages that say don't lose heart, I know people who haven't been paid for nine months?
Respectfully, you misinterpreted the point of my comparison. I was trying to say that even though the U.S. has obvious issues with everything we have identified, there has still been some progress. I gave a personal comparison just to show that other parts of the world are also fucked.

If you have points to make I'm all for hearing them,, but if you're here to tell me you know about systemic racism in America than me, then prepare to battle with someone well entrenched.

I don't know why you people think after watching our friends and family suffer and die every single day our gut reaction is to be reasonable, do you have any idea the level of restraint black people in America show just to get through a day of this shit.
I have literally said I support BLM in principle and that I agree systemic racism exists. I don't know how many more times I can say it before you understand that I:

  1. Agree systemic racism exists; and
  2. Am not saying I understand it better than you.

Completely dodging the fact that all of this is happening because the fucking police killed an innocent black woman for literally no reason other than their own incompetence, and nothing of any substance whatsoever is going to be done about it.

This entire situation is shit, but I'm tired of feeling bad for the cops and the rule of law as it currently exists when they both keep failing. Repeatedly. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It keeps happening. The cycle repeats. It keeps happening. We're still here arguing about fucking semantics.

I need to have some chardonnay and get the hell out of this thread for tonight before I say some vitriolic can't-unring-the bell shit.

First of all, you consistently dodge facts if they fail to coincide with your narrative.

Second of all, the details, specifically the intent of the Louisville Metro Police Department, matters, especially in court. This Wikipedia page writes "According to the New York Times, "While the department had gotten court approval for a 'no-knock' entry, the orders were changed before the raid to 'knock and announce,' meaning that the police had to identify themselves." According to the police account and a witness at the scene, the officers knocked and announced their identity before forcing entry, but the police and the witness differ as to how they announced themselves. Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, and 11 other witnesses deny that the officers announced themselves at all. Walker fired a gun, and the officers returned fire. Walker has said that he believed the officers were intruders. The officers fired over 20 shots. Taylor was shot five times, according to her death certificate, and LMPD Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly was injured by gunfire. Another officer and an LMPD lieutenant were on the scene when the warrant was executed. The primary targets of the LMPD investigation were Jamarcus Glover and Adrian Walker, who were suspected of selling controlled substances from a drug house more than 10 miles away."

Breonna's life obviously matters, and there are certainly legitimate questions about the circumstances in which she died, yet none of which have anything to do with racism or systemic racism. Unfortunately, she seemed to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when the LMPD attempted to arrest Walker, her boyfriend, for selling drugs. When the police, whom Walker allegedly perceived as intruders, arrived, he fired a warning shot, injuring the sergeant, so the police fired numerous gunshots in return, killing Breonna. Considering these nuances, I cannot understand why anyone would want to incite violence in the precinct. Breonna's death is unfortunate to say the least, but she was not killed because of racism or systemic racism. The mainstream media ought to stop lying and fools on this website ought to stop advocating violence in Louisville.

Neither of the two people at the residence in question were included in the warrant, which they said they got because of alleged drug pickups from their actual persons of interest based on a collaboration with a postal inspector. Unfortunately for them, the same postal inspector later revealed that said collaboration never happened and they had no reason to believe any suspicious packages came out of the apartment.

You can't even read facts on the page, but don't let that get in the way of your contrarian horseshit.

Pure truth, but you’re wasting your time dude. I don’t think anybody here is willing to learn and change. In society today, somehow changing for the better or admitting that you were wrong has become a sign of weakness. Ignorance and stubbornness reigns supreme.

Also, as far as the no-knock search warrant is concerned, the article mentions the following.

"According to the conclusions of two independent investigations, one of which was conducted by the FBI, Louisville police officers banged on the apartment door and announced their presence."

Breonna Taylor was wrongfully killed, indeed, and there ought to be ramifications. I am no legal expert so I have no idea what those ramifications would entail in a court of law, but implying that the LMPD intentionally executed an innocent black woman is propaganda of the highest degree.

Yes, so it's exactly what I said: two people who didn't live there and going on a suspicion based on extremely miniscule evidence. So no, her boyfriend nor her were actual persons of interest, just "a hunch" that the apartment may have had drugs. Which proved to be false.

So you quoted me information that you had wrong, in an attempt to correct me, who was still right.

Stupid or disingenuous, which is it?

Ask yourself how things can be "better" if you agree systemic racism is real? Like where do you think systemic racism started? Trump? Slavery? The police? You think a problem that has survived and evolved in this country for 400 years isn't that bad? No. Systemic racism is the start. As long as that shit is excused, no, nothing has gotten better, not even a little.

Again, look in a history book and see what they were saying about us then, not now. Look at what they said about mlk then, about Lincoln and his ideas then, about crispus Atticus then. It is the same bullshit falling out of your mouths now. It is the same bullshit your successors will say about systemic racism in the future.

I think it's actually a pretty good example of systemic racism. I don't think the officers involved were necessarily racist (maybe they are, maybe they aren't, there's not much evidence to go on either way), but the system in place of getting a warrant on shaky grounds and showing up with guns drawn, that was basically a tragedy on rails. It's a legal/police enforcement system that disproportionately affects black people and other minorities.

I speak on the issues I want whenever I want. I thought you believed in free speech? You sure do love shutting down someone else’s right to voice his opinion all because he’s from another country and didn’t experience it first hand. That’s quite racist if you ask me.
But...why? And why would anyone listen to you? You've already admitted you get your sources from propaganda sites and refuse to read new information when people try to correct or inform you. Why are you even participating in this thread if it's just making you angrier and angrier.
I think that if the police can wantonly murder anybody and face nothing but job loss and or property damage-related charges on behalf of the other people in the area not killed, we have a fundamentally broken system that rewards bloodlust

Over a non-violent offense, too!
They don't event suffer job loss. Most are transferred to another nearby precinct. That's why whenever one of these maniacs finally does get caught murdering someone, they always have a long history of issues, sometimes including multiple transfers.

Adrian Walker, Breonna's boyfriend, shot first and injured one of the police officer. He thought that he shot an intruder, but independent investigations claim that police knocked on the door and announced themselves properly.

You also claim that you have no evidence that any one of the police officers is racist. Nonetheless, this case is "a good example of systematic racism." What?

Anyway, I'm gonna just bow out of this thread entirely. I think no matter what I ask or say you will say I'm racist.

My point was the situation was already a high risk situation based on the decisions the police made. They chose to execute a warrant, bust in the door, and have guns drawn. Even if both parties acted in good faith where the boyfriend likely didn't hear them announce themselves and was trying to defend himself, and the police were simply responding to being fired upon, the problem is that it was a shitty situation to begin with.

You also claim that you have no evidence that any one of the police officers is racist. Nonetheless, this case is "a good example of systematic racism." What?
Again, systemic racism doesn't mean that there are racists in the system making racist decisions. The issue is the system itself is designed or implemented that leads to racist results, often in spite of the people involved not being explicitly racist. These types of police decisions (no-knock warrants, showing up already prepared/expecting to use deadly force) are disproportionately affecting black people. Systemic racism.
