I just wanted to learn him a little bit because he's been giving me problems as a Batman player. So I thought that I would play him for a bit to try and find any weaknesses in that particular MU.This is not towards you, but im tired of people picking up the character because hes so good, i knew this shit would happen from the start.
be sure to read my guide and not divekick without meter. play him lame just like subzero, its all about the lifelead in this game.
dear god, it startedI just wanted to learn him a little bit because he's been giving me problems as a Batman player. So I thought that I would play him for a bit to try and find any weaknesses in that particular MU.
As it turns out, I think that I might have just become one of you. My Batman days might be done....

The opponent will be about chest height when you can 11 / 112What is the timing for b23 112 combo ? I have trouble to land 112 constantly
Cooldown is only 5 seconds. Abuse it while you can.Quick question to BA players here;
Why are so many of you just activating trait at neutral as soon as it comes off cooldown? Surely you can get more from it using it in combos/blockstrings and having it ready to activate on the defensive when people approach? Having it activated full screen while you are just going to have it wasted or sitting there doing nothing is hardly worth the effort?
You say that but the cooldown doesnt refresh until all 3 orbs disappear, so using it at neutral means you lose out on some damage from punishes, the ability to use them to make your pressure safer, create frame traps and mixups, and generally just having them on all the time wastes alot of potential that the actual activation of them brings.Cooldown is only 5 seconds. Abuse it while you can.
It's situational tbh, if you have a life lead it's a pretty good use because it makes them worried about eating unblockable damage and giving you even more of an advantage. Doing chip and getting extra damage is just as nice too though, it's just dependant on whether I really need it or if I want to play a lame game and make them back off. Like I said, situational but imo both very effective.Quick question to BA players here;

EDIT: smokey That being said I use it more for chip and damage than anything else, but I do just throw it out from time to time.
Yeah I get what you're saying here, why back out just to activate trait and go back in when you could've did it in the middle of a block string and gotten loads of chip.I know its situational and theres more to consider depending on how the match is going, but i just see people running away to activate orbs, then jumping in and doing a blockstring, and just dashing back or using d1~shocker to end pressure.
I feel theres a shit load of stuff he can do with the trait stocked, but have never seen any of it put into play effectively apart from the odd "d1~trait~d1~shocker" barrage that is somehow meant to be an effective blockstring?

I use d1 trait d1 shocker off of frame traps. If I'm at advantage and think I can hit them with with a d1 frame trap I'll take that 31% all day.
I have yet to find anything reliable but idk maybe you can. It's 31% if you MB shocker, 23% if not.Cant you D1~trait into a full combo though? (And d1~trait~d1~shocker is 31% ?)
It also gets rid of meterless high damage combos. It's a good tactic in certain situations but not for just a little extra damage at the beginning of a combo.Activating orbs early lets the orbs do more damage in a combo. That said I usually hold them unless I'm not opening the opponent up.
Timing for b23 112 is pretty easy once it clicks. Tap 1 once after b23, if nothing happens you're hitting 1 too early. 112 is counterintuitive since it hits so late.
I've been using d1 trait into 22 dial a combo.
I was wondering why everyone stopped using lightning cage combo. B23 is better and easier to confirm, but lightning cage still nets 47% for 1 bar which is totally worth it in situations when 22 hits.
