Not happy to hear how bad the range on throws were
Well they do a fair amount of damage. Also there's not constant crouch teching needed, I for one like the shitty rangeNot happy to hear how bad the range on throws were
Are command throws the same ? Rather... do they have their own ranges?Well they do a fair amount of damage. Also there's not constant crouch teching needed, I for one like the shitty range
Not too sure, I know they're better and have more range. Didn't use a character with a command throw at Final Round, so idk.Are command throws the same ? Rather... do they have their own ranges?
Is King considered a grappler? I mean... I see Gief and Hugo ... and then King kinda strikes me as Tekken's Abel.Yes, grapplers have longer range on command throws which makes them very strong in this game.
SethKillian already explained why they made normal throw ranges so short. It was a change they made because throws were too powerful in earlier builds. You could basically throw people out of their pokes from ridiculous ranges. So they nerfed throw range to prevent them from taking over the footsie game and being the central part of offense and defense.
I haven't actually played the game but judging from what I saw on his walkthrough he does seem to be a grappler. I mean he has a high and low command throw + an AA throw I think. Then again a lot of Tekken characters have command throws like Nina but don't really play like a typical grappler. Nina seems pretty rushdown and mixup oriented. Is King considered a grappler? Its definitely not defensive based. Jump-ins are hard to anti-air clean, good bnb do about 40-50% without gems, bad throw range, slower walk speed, and no safe tag ins unless you cancel an attack with it. All of this means you have to hold your ground more than ever, you have to be aggressive if you want to have safe tag-ins and jump-ins aren't heavily discouraged like in SF4. O and whiff attacks build meter (like 3s) thus encouraging you to spend meter.I'm aware that the game isn't officially out, but I'd love to read some more comments about the general gameplay of the game. It seems like it'll heavily revolve around defense and footsies like CvS2, I guess.
Pirates will always be pirates. They will almost always technically get an advantage over people that legitimately purchase the game. This is the case of playing content earlier, avoiding DRM, and of course playing the content for free.My problem with the DLC is that there are 12 characters 14 for the xbox version that are completely done and ready to go, but I can't play or buy them for another whole 6 months because sony moneyhatted capcom so hard for the vita release. Meanwhile pirates get to play all them for free well everyone else is going to have to wait until fall.
This whole situation is ridiculous on so many levels, and its a shame because otherwise the game seems really solid.
How much of a total SF scrub are you? Are we talking like don't know how to do srk/qcf motions? or like fundamentals like footsy/spacing/mixups?If I get this, can someone show me how the fuck to play it, Im a total SF scrub.
