@FL Rushdown Btw why do you believe Balrog isn't top 10? He was a contender for top 3 when I was playing awhile back when I used to play and, as far as I know, he was barely changed.

I don't think I've ever said Rog isn't top 10. Akumas the one I get blown up for saying could be outside top 10.
not in any order. rashid, ibuki, necalli, Karin, cammy, akuma, zangief, bison, urien, guile is my top 10. abby could be up there just not sure yet.

forgot rog but you could put him in there over akuma, urien, guile maybe. not really sure top 10 is prettttty fluid imo.
Nvm didn't realize you went back and added rog

Yea that's purely awesome. One other thing, I CAN'T stop playing Menat. Like in training mode she has so much she can do. The only downside is that I can't do her loops, resets, etc. Feels like you gotta practice for months with her, well at least me.
No, I think that's pretty normal, either that or she's not a very strong character and you really need to put a lot of work into her to feel like you can be half-way decent with her.

She's been out for a week or so now, and I run into a few Menat's every day and she is still one of the easier matches for me (at least with Akuma).

I've done Lounges with people who are a much higher rank than me (even last night) who will swap characters freely and the only one I seem to stand a chance with at all is her.

Again, not sure if it's just that she's so technical that it takes a while for people to learn her, or if she just seems hard to learn because she doesn't have great tools.

Her V-Tigger will take more time to optimize, but I think a lot of people are not using her well in neutral which is leading to the easier matches for me...

The worst thing a player can do with her is spam St. HP. It has a long recovery and when done a lot, it becomes predictable - I often punish it with jump in combos. It's basically a Hadoken and don't keep throwing that at your opponent while in prime jump kick range, or else.

Also, her punish game seems pretty weak, but I think if you convert orb recall to extend your normal combos, then it could be decent, but I would think the orb would already need to be out and in the right spot.

Good observations. Menat to me seems to be in the range of good to top tier. It's too early, and I by no means am an expert, so it's very possible I'm very very wrong. I'm glad her st.Hp has lots of recovery, she would be too strong if it didn't because of that range. I like how you compared it to a hadouken, and yes if she becomes predictable then one bad timing on st.hp becomes a full combo punish. But she can make almost everything safe with orb out, even her sweep becomes safe with orb out even when not in vTrigger. With orb out she has a 50/50 which combos in hit and is safe on block, that is a great mixup to have. Vtrigger is insane on this character, aside from all the loops, resets, combo extenders, she can algo use it defensively and to make her moves safe. Wanna surprise drill? Let's follow up with an orb in case they block it. Jump ins with her vtrigger out can also be super annoying, I mean you have heat seekers to worry about aside from her normals, cross ups, mixups. Her neutral without orb isn't great, but then again if she doesn't have orb then that means it's just waiting there waiting to hit you at her best convenient time. I think it was Go1 who murdered itabashi zangief, (sorry if the names are wrong) and he's the best zangief in the world, I know it can just be matchup specific but she seems strong.

It's all so very confusing.
Shrug. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but I have yet to be terribly impressed by Menat. Ive seen some nice stuff, but.. I dunno. She's a weird ass character.
