Excellent rundown of what happened in this storyline, man. I stopped reading after I realized how much money I'd be spending if I continued buying them digitally every week. I didn't realize it was going to be an ongoing series.

Having said that, regardless of what happens in these comics, NRS will explain away (or not explain at all) anything that occurred if it means selling more copies of the game. If anyone believes for a second that Joker will not be in Injustice 2, they're crazy. I don't care that Superman punched a hole in him, he's faaaaar too popular not to make the roster. I'd say Dick Grayson is nearly on that level, as well.

Also, I really want Damian Wayne in this game. I'd love to see what he could do. There's so much potential for this roster. Can't wait to see what the final roster is.

I felt they explained it pretty good. He would not have been able to take out Ganthet and Mogo except that he was wearing a yellow lantern ring and the entire planet had just seen him murder Black Canary (and was therefore powering him with their fear).

Course its all ruined when he then gets rid of the ring because WW tells him its "not what they stand for" but proceeds to take on the fucking gods of olympus simply because they pissed in his corn flakes.

RIGHT!? look the story started off good, things actually made sense but as of the year 2 or maybe three seems like the writers decided to say fuck it let just roll with the first idea that comes to our heads and have superman win everything because he's superman and he is bad and.....reasons

i couldn't take it anymore and since i already knew the end game (injustice 1) i also decided to say fuck it and stopped reading lol

It's pretty reckless for the comics to kill off so many characters prior to them being in the game. Most have great potential as a fighter but were needlessly killed off because the writers don't know how to create drama without killing beloved characters.

Honestly, the Joker does not need to be in this game; people are not going to forget the events of the first game or his epic story spanning decades in other media. Lex Luthor is basically in the same boat. DC needs to start pushing their D and C-list characters who have a far greater pool of untapped potential to draw upon.

I think they are starting to do that. I mean Atrocitus, Grodd, Deadshot and my personal favorite, Blue Beetle aren't exactly A-listers yet. So im excited to see who else they add!!

Aren't there two at least two versions of every character in this story? For example, good Lex was killed by Superman in the first game but isn't bad Lex still out there from the other timeline?

Between the multiple timelines angel and convenient plot devices like Lazarus pits I feel like anyone still has a chance at being playable.

id be pretty hype for him. And he'd be a cool semi unknown lantern that could actually go toe to toe with an evil superman story wise. That and I'd like a physical in your face type of lantern.

The super girl that dies is Lara Kent (clark's daughter) not Kara (clark's cousin). She dies in Lois when Superman accidentally drags them out to space and later on identify she would've grown up to become Lara.

Damian is the canon Nightwing as of Inj2. Dick (as Deadman) saves Damian's life by possessing Bronze Tiger and leaves the Nightwing gear behind for him. He shows up later wearing it when he takes on Batman in the comic (and game) so there you go.

You can't really die in The Phantom Zone, you just kind of are there as a ghost until someone or something pulls you out. Technically (again, shit writing cause they don't explain how) Superman says he will bring the titans back when his work is done, whatever the fuck that means. Superboy is the only one who was actually at risk of dying, which is why they went in the first place.

Dick knows some of them survived the blast (only Beast Boy and Kid Flash are actually incinerated) but only Superman knows they went to the fortress of solitude and were sent to the PZ.

I have no doubt Starfire is in the game, so it will be interesting to see if they address this terrible plot point at all or just ignore it to bring her back.

People don't read comics where nothing happens and we don't live in a world where people are entertained by a bad guy escaping jail and going back to jail every week.

the game doesn't address why the people like the lanterns, the magicians, the titans and tons of other world protecting institutions didn't get involved. Were they really supposed to go five years without killing anyone just in case NRS decided to make another game?

Unfortunately the goal of media is sales, not creating a beautiful rainbow of entertainment. People don't buy stuff they don't know.
