The "Who Do You Want To See In Injustice 2" Thread

Youphemism

Gunslinger since pre patch (sh/out to The Farmer)
If Scarecrow is in he HAS to have a command grab/special like Harley's Play Doctor in Injustice 1 where he injects them with god knows what and has a cool DoT/poison effect or something, that'd be dope.

Okay but literally he nothing but fear toxin. He can't punch, he can't kick, he can't even run. His movelist would be two moves. This guy is a minigame at best.

I do think that a combo character that combines a couple one note arkham villains as summons or temp buffs to one master character who might actually be able to fight would be kind of sweet.

Bruh, Deadshot was the sole reason I went back to the Injustice Mobile game. I love his design and whatnot.

I haven't seen Suicide Squad yet... going to see it tonight. I wanna see why people dislike Will Smith's portrayal of DS.
Harley Quinn, El Diablo and Deadshot were the best characters in the film. I hope you enjoy the movie, I know I did :)

Speaking of Suicide Squad can we please get Katana and El Diablo? DIABLO has cool powers and we could see him turn into a fiery version of Kotal Khan ;)

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
In terms of highest potential for unique new movesets there are quite a few good characters in DC that always catch my interest in case they should make an appearance in Injustice 2.

  • Dr. Fate is pretty much a Zatanna scenario of "its magic. we can do anything we wanna try".
  • Firestorm can transmute matter into anything which could get really interesting...especially with interactibles. Maybe a Cody sorta dude who makes things to use or maybe something unique that nullfiies projectiles or turns them into stuff like meter, armor or damage buffs when he is hit with one?
  • Swamp Thing can travel through plants, grow objects from the ground and more. Maybe a "Chunk" based character like the KI Golem character or maybe a stretchy long ranged limb character with planteleportation?
  • Pick a Lantern. Any Lantern. Creates anything. Dealers choice on whatever they wanna build there.
  • THE RAY. See Green Lantern. Throw in energy form that heals, illusions, Lightspeed, and invisibility as well as Red Sunlight antikryptonian tools.
  • Parasite absorbs the life force of others and translates it to strength. A character who gets stronger the more damage he does? Maybe one who has grapples that absorb life and give buffs or nerfs the opponents damage for a period? Perhaps steals meter from enemy with grabs and then uses that meter to do loads of MB grapple combos? Wouldn't matter how crap his meter is on his own then...one touch and he'd be able to self fuel into his gameplan. It'd be a NASTY way to make a high comeback potential character.
  • Static (sad they say he's not in) can power things up, levitate metal and shoot electricity and is known to surf on metal through the air. I could see him flying on a manhole cover, throwing it, then placing it on the screen where it lands only to then pull it to himself for a left right mixup or use it like a trap like some lightsaber Takeda tricks. Dude has a lot of potential for just slinging things and pulling things around the screen while being highly mobile in the air and useful at a distance with his static discharges. A really cool energy guy whose gimmick is less about zapping IMO and more about maneuvering objects and himself.
  • Vixen or Animal Man. These two can change their specials or mobility by assuming the powers of an animal at any time. Heck Animal Man tends to combine traits for a cocktail of tools. A character who could increase their damage or manipulate their air mobility or walk speeds with their trait or with other moves? Neat. I'd love to be able to go between a Bane level of movement and damage over to an airdash mobility style with divekicks at will. I'd have footsies for any matchup.
  • Mirror Master. Dude can reflect stuff, travel and teleport through mirrors, use mirror clones, and make illusions. He is also known to use lasers, and traps. Now imagine a character who could teleport, place mirrors, fire projectiles into one mirror so it comes out another OR reflects instead with you uncertain which he is about to do. Also throw in him teleporting around through mirrors only to place traps around the screen. A hold trap thrown in front of you only to have him backdash through a mirror to appear behind you to pressure you into the object? Oh lord yes the setups would be incredible.

Just in case I am not the only story nut out there, I wanted to keep a running tally of all the DCU characters who are dead (or otherwise out of the picture) by the time of Injustice 2. This includes characters who are killed prior to the first game, during the game, and have been killed in the comic canon since.

(Note: as we've seen with MKX, nothing about being dead / crippled / being sent to an alternate dimension means you can't be in the game, so do not consider this a disconfirmed list)

So without further ado;

Alfred Pennyworth - Killed by Zsasz
Artemis - Killed by Hera
Beast Boy - Killed by The Joker
Bizarro - Killed by Lex Luthor
Black Canary - Teleported to another dimension by Dr. Fate
Black Racer - Being tortured by Darkseid
Captain Atom - Killed by Wonder Woman
Ch'p - Killed by Sinestro
Clayface - "Killed" by Harley Quinn
Constantine - Magical Relocation Program
Despero - Killed by Sinestro
Detective Chimp - Killed by Mr. Mxyzptlk
Dick Grayson - Killed by Damian Wayne
Dr. Fate - Banished into The Void
Dr. Occult - Killed by Raven
Deadman (Boston Brand) - Killed by Mr. Mxyzptlk, Dick Grayson is the current Deadman
Galaxor - Crippled by Superman / Wonder Woman, committed Suicide
Ganthet - Killed by Superman
Green Arrow - Killed by Superman
Guy Gardner - Killed by Hal Jordan
Harvey Bullock - Killed by Mr. Mxyzpltk
Hawkman - Killed by Superman
Heat Wave - Killed by Bizarro
Hercules - Killed by Superman
Huntress - Killed by Wonder Woman
Jason Bard - Killed by Superman
Jason Blood - Killed by Mr. Mxyzptlk

Starfire - Sent to Phantom Zone by Superman
The Spectre (Jim Corrigan) - Killed by Mr. Mxyzptlk, Mr. Mxyzptl masqueraded as The Spectre for a while.
Superboy (Connor Kent) - Fatally injured and sent to Phantom Zone by Superman.
Supergirl (Lara Kent) - Killed by Superman
Swamp Thing - Sent to Hell
Trickster - Killed by Bizarro
Trigon - Banished into The Void
Weather Wizard - Killed by Bizarro
Wonder Girl (Cass) - Sent to Phantom Zone by Superman

Other Significant Death Events:
Green Lantern Corps - Killed by Superman. Tomar-Re, Arisia, Boodikka and others survived.

Damn son, Supes going on a killing spree.
While some are more "personal" than others (Lois, Joker, Hawkman, Shazam) he scores half his kills (the lanterns, kalibak, Jason Bard and 200 other people) in single pages with ridiculous eye laser blasts. He literally punches Superboy in the stomach then tells all the titans to enter the Phantom Zone indefinitely or die and they just go without a fight.

Years 3 & 4 (when Tom Taylor left) are honestly pretty shitty, but Boon says all the comic is canon so we gotta live with it.

I think that was about the time i got fed up with the comics.....i never liked supes in the first place but seeing him ONE SHOT MOGO!!! gtfo with that op shit
I felt they explained it pretty good. He would not have been able to take out Ganthet and Mogo except that he was wearing a yellow lantern ring and the entire planet had just seen him murder Black Canary (and was therefore powering him with their fear).

Course its all ruined when he then gets rid of the ring because WW tells him its "not what they stand for" but proceeds to take on the fucking gods of olympus simply because they pissed in his corn flakes.
