SF V Crash is gonna be similar to Tekken Crash right? if so this will be interesting.
Based on what I've seen, I'd place him in Top 5. However, he does have a lack of an invincible attack, so without V-Trigger or V-Reversal, he could have an issue in dealing with pressure.
Yeah but that's just one player. It's like assuming Japan is really big on and high level for SF cause you heard Daigo is from there. So I was wondering if there is anyone else really good. Or maybe some tourney stuff.
They have good players and a strong scene. They used to have a place called Cafe ID, which had some really strong players in many games including SF4.
Oh yeah I forgot about Cafe ID. I mostly remember them from KoF. Really hoping 14 gets a lot of traction in the states.

rank has nothing to do with how good someone is lmao.. i mean how much time have you put into ranked and your silver? as long as its not much time i wouldn't be too concerned, but even still nobody cares how good or bad you are at tourneys. Sure you get more props when you're good, but nobody is gonna laugh at you (except for stream warriors).
I would go regardless of skill level. As long as you have a solid understanding of how the game works, go to events. Personally (and I have heard this from many other players as well) I level up about a thousand times faster at events and tournaments than just regular play at home. The pressure, the unfamiliar players, the people who can give you advice, and just being around the game makes you level up quickly. Plus tournaments are just a ton of fun!
I say go. You get a chance to play all levels of talent offline plus be in person for some hype shit. If you want, you can pay for me to go and I'l give you the complete rundown so you KNOW if it's something you want to do.
whenever you can, just go. casuals, watching offline pool play and interacting with the community alone is worth it.
Let me put it this way, hundreds of people participated in SF V at final round, if you're above average then you would have beaten many of the guys that actually did participate in the tournament. I remember there was a guy years ago that entered a tournament and was really really bad, I mean jump in 4 times into a dragon punch bad. He met other few players like him then they just played themselves all night long. I never totally believe the rank hype, I mean it's a way to determine a skill level but it can be misleading.
Heh, when my cash flow gets better I might just take you up on that offer.
Yeah, I know LP isn't a good gauge. I've beaten people quite a bit higher than me, lost some to people below me, and so far in my SFV career I've had the honor of losing to the likes of Mike Ross, Snake Eyez, and Floe with none of them being blowouts.
I've seen stuff in my area on reddit but never looked into it.
