SF V Crash is gonna be similar to Tekken Crash right? if so this will be interesting.
Based on what I've seen, I'd place him in Top 5. However, he does have a lack of an invincible attack, so without V-Trigger or V-Reversal, he could have an issue in dealing with pressure. So two Nash's have won two tournaments already, I think people underestimate Nash when they talk about top tier. Opinions?
Yeah but that's just one player. It's like assuming Japan is really big on and high level for SF cause you heard Daigo is from there. So I was wondering if there is anyone else really good. Or maybe some tourney stuff.Infiltration is from Korea.
They have good players and a strong scene. They used to have a place called Cafe ID, which had some really strong players in many games including SF4.Yeah but that's just one player. Oh yeah I forgot about Cafe ID. I mostly remember them from KoF. Really hoping 14 gets a lot of traction in the states. They have good players and a strong scene. They used to have a place called Cafe ID, which had some really strong players in many games including SF4.
me and daigo were running super close sets and we lost track of time my bad tbhI wonder why Daigo wasn't on FR19?
I streamed most of it on CapcomFighters. Can anyone tell me a full list of who streamed what friday to saturday so I can watch this? Any game you know.
Super close sets with Daigo? You must be not that good then because I played Daigo earlier today and he was free a lot of matches. We played like 20 matches but I'll be honest he did win 2. Infiltration's Nash ain't want none of my Laura.me and daigo were running super close sets and we lost track of time my bad tbh
shouldnt have gave him the runback
rank has nothing to do with how good someone is lmao.. i mean how much time have you put into ranked and your silver? as long as its not much time i wouldn't be too concerned, but even still nobody cares how good or bad you are at tourneys. Sure you get more props when you're good, but nobody is gonna laugh at you (except for stream warriors). So here's a question I've been wondering for a while but now more than ever with the rise of V, how good should you be to enter tournaments? I've played fighting games my entire life with various levels of commitment. Played in arcades as a kid, online warrior as an adult. I've been above average/casual in most games but never commited.
I have smash/umvc3 playing friends that go to NCR and every time they ask if I want to go I turn them down. Not from lack of interest but feeling that I just wasn't good enough. I'd like to be more of a part of the FGC though. Right now I'm sitting in low Silver, slowly getting better but definitely with things I know I need to work on. I see the entrant numbers for things like FR and think they can't all be platinum players but would I belong there? So to you guys I ask when should I try to play at a tourney?
I would go regardless of skill level. As long as you have a solid understanding of how the game works, go to events. Personally (and I have heard this from many other players as well) I level up about a thousand times faster at events and tournaments than just regular play at home. The pressure, the unfamiliar players, the people who can give you advice, and just being around the game makes you level up quickly. Plus tournaments are just a ton of fun!So here's a question I've been wondering for a while but now more than ever with the rise of V, how good should you be to enter tournaments? I say go. You get a chance to play all levels of talent offline plus be in person for some hype shit. If you want, you can pay for me to go and I'l give you the complete rundown so you KNOW if it's something you want to do.So here's a question I've been wondering for a while but now more than ever with the rise of V, how good should you be to enter tournaments? whenever you can, just go. casuals, watching offline pool play and interacting with the community alone is worth it.So here's a question I've been wondering for a while but now more than ever with the rise of V, how good should you be to enter tournaments? Let me put it this way, hundreds of people participated in SF V at final round, if you're above average then you would have beaten many of the guys that actually did participate in the tournament. I remember there was a guy years ago that entered a tournament and was really really bad, I mean jump in 4 times into a dragon punch bad. He met other few players like him then they just played themselves all night long. I never totally believe the rank hype, I mean it's a way to determine a skill level but it can be misleading. So here's a question I've been wondering for a while but now more than ever with the rise of V, how good should you be to enter tournaments? Heh, when my cash flow gets better I might just take you up on that offer.I say go. You get a chance to play all levels of talent offline plus be in person for some hype shit. If you want, you can pay for me to go and I'l give you the complete rundown so you KNOW if it's something you want to do.
Yeah, I know LP isn't a good gauge. I've beaten people quite a bit higher than me, lost some to people below me, and so far in my SFV career I've had the honor of losing to the likes of Mike Ross, Snake Eyez, and Floe with none of them being blowouts.Let me put it this way, hundreds of people participated in SF V at final round, if you're above average then you would have beaten many of the guys that actually did participate in the tournament. I've seen stuff in my area on reddit but never looked into it.Also check out the local scene near you, If you already have done or there is not any that then ignore me lol
look up frame data lol.. fierces have massive adv like more then +10I just thought of something that I can't recall thinking about before, maybe because it came natural, but since SF is a very neutral and footsie played game, when you jump in on someone and they block your jump-in hit, who has the advantage after that? I mean if I do a jump in with a Ryu fierce and they block what happens if I try to follow up with a crouching short but they (say another Ryu) tries the same crouching short after they've blocked my jump in?
You can't really call tiers from tournament results. So two Nash's have won two tournaments already, I think people underestimate Nash when they talk about top tier. Opinions?
