Lol sorry that was iPhone autocorrecting itself

What MMH players do you lose to with your nightwing ? I would like to know which MMH players do better against u vs your NW than Jupiter does

You play NW?

Dude stop complaining that MU is even
Also I wasn't complaining about the NW matchup I was talking about all of the characters because NW does do well against him, but I play online mmh's that do instant air dashes and jump on me all day which not only works online but it does against staffwing because he has no real anti air

Grayson does very well for air control and beats every normal tele and makes OH whiff for full punish

To be honest I don't even think it's the player, he just does things that are harder to deal with online because Jupiter played like an offline mmh and didn't d

you have to time it well, if u do it to early it hits u and if they expect it they can mb pillar for full combo or normal tele. Also flying grayson has a rough time when the mmh air dashes right above you it won't work, but I guess it could escape pressure.

I just lose to online mmh players that do ambiguous jump 1's and they also don't let me zone mmh, and if I try I often get punished by a teleport

Id rather MMH be OP than Superman because MMH is hella fun to watch.

I think its funny when people take away wins due to characters used, but dont try picking up that character themselves to see if it really is that easy.

Yea I've played both in MK and INJ. REO and Jupiter were both really good since MK. REO showed it obviously. Idk how many tournaments Jupiter went to but the one time I played him I could tell he definitely knew what he was doing. He gave king a run for his money and I believe he placed 9th a couple of times. I'm not too too sure but point is Jupiter has been good since mk9 and there were so many good players imo but he just got unlucky with 9th place. I would consider him in top 20 Tbh.

Lmao
I don't think I ever used MMH on you. I used superman and BA only against you and you deleted me and called me a laser spammer..
lmao you did use mmh against me and I play the game for fun I don't play to be counter picked by BA and supes if I want to learn those matchups than I'll actually play people that main them. That's why I always wanted you to use mmh so I can learn the matchup, not learn how to get hit by lazers. Icant stand people who counterpick because they can't play an even matchup. I want you to understand that if you mained someone other than mmh you would be free as hell.

I also never called you a lazer spammer I was just not having any fun being counterpicked and zoned out all day. Remember I play this game for fun, not to win tournaments by picking the best character. @EMPEROR_JUPITER

REO was also spot on when he brought up all the mu exp between Kabal and MMH.

You could go to any tourney or most local gatherings and get hundreds of matches vs Kabal. With MMH is really hard to get this many games in. You usually have to play a set of about 30-40 matches, then lab and sit and wait until next set. Sometimes next set could be next day or next month. It takes infinitely longer to lab vs MMH then it did Kabal because of this. I used a character that lost 7-3 to Kabal yet have had a ridiculous amount of success in the mu. Why? because I would play REO over and over and over.. hundreds and thousands of matches over and over and over. Even though i always lost the majority of the matches in our training, I was dedicated to learning what the best options were in every situation.

Another thing that hurts are the death's of a few local scenes. Players and entire scenes have literally dropped the game and decided to be retired until MK10. When local scenes thrive, they care about winning. When more people care about winning, the more likely they will pick a top tier/the best character. When this happens it allows more players to get infinite exp vs a lot of the top tiers.

I feel like IGAU is evolving a bit slower then MK9 did for these reasons. Its gonna take more time for everything to work itself out.

I agree with most of what u are saying @AK Pig Of The Hut except I wouldnt say that they are just better than everyone ( got to loom at matchups like if u beat a top sub player in mk 20 times straight, we couldnt really blame the player much since that is a rough matchup), and two there are multiple top players who could have picked up mmh and showcased how deadly he was. Overall tho, solid post indeed.

He 10-0'd Ares.
It was 9-1. I've seen Mr. Aquaman take games off Superman players in tournaments back then.

MMH currently destroys Cyborg 9-1 (from my play experience vs AC1984, NY_Jailhouse, and some other XBL players) so I don't really see the point you're trying to make.

I hear you. I think the difference is that Kabal wasn't a DLC character. The first wave of guys (like warda, Tony and Mike) ended earlier on. It wasn't until the second wave when guys like Lulz/Pl/Dab joined the gang, and that was around summer 2012 (this time we're approaching now in IGAU).

Compare that to Kenshi who was DLC and barely saw any consistent top-player action until Pig finally gave up Mileena after Anaheim.

If MMH was available Day 1, rather than being the very last DLC, I imagine he'd have a bigger following by now.
I demand to be put in the second wave of Kabals! I got top8 at ECT last year! and 9th at the ECT before that. :p I want historical props!

I forgot to add you, OnlineTony, GGA Soonk, etc. etc.

God, Kabal had to have been the most represented and played character back then. LOL

Kenshi was downplayed for over a year on the forums. MMH is seen as the best character in the game and known to quite possibly have barely an even matches for a LONG time now. It's about to become a year with EVO right around the corner since MMH was released. You can't really compare MMH to any character back then for MK9. This is a very unique and odd case indeed.

This is true, however MMH was also downplayed and we were told by numerous people that Jupiter not placing at NEC meant that the character was not that big of a deal and everyone had been 'freaking out' for no reason. Then when Jupiter won won APEX it didn't matter because it wasn't a major.

I was ridiculed for bringing up the fact that you'd already made Top 8 with MMH prior to NEC against pre-patch characters and told that it was old news and you were no longer relevant (and in general, long before Jupiter MMH was usually explained away by "That's just REO"). And Jupiter's win at Civil War will also probably be downplayed to an extent based on what people feel was a light roster.

Also, I think that somewhat like Kenshi, a lot of people did not have first-hand experience against a true top-level MMH and were generating their assumptions of MU knowledge from people who made short-term runs with or pocketed the character in their local scenes.

So despite everything, I feel like MMH is only now getting his true credibility as the absolute monster of a threat that he is. If MMH players do well at a higher-profile event like MLG or EVO, expect the floodgates to open and the revolution to begin :)

I think you mash D1 too much. But you play NW, I guess. Hon estly, it seems like you don't know when to zone and that's why you're having trouble.
