Assuming first that the game sticks around for long enough for things to get hashed out, which in turn would probably mean at least one balance patch in the next 2 - 3 years.
Cyrax and Smoke are already ToD machines. Cyrax will be banned or they will remove his resets by making the 2nd net in a combo have zero frames of hit stun or just wiff entirely. It's completely ridiculous that when it was discovered after the first attempt to remove bomb traps, that MK3 Cyrax could still do the command grab trap, MK3 Cyrax was banned. Now that the resets are out of control and 100 times worse, it's ok?
People will realize that Kano isn't anywhere close to as bad as they think, just like what happened with Baraka over the course of about the first year.
When people realize how much armor and ridiculous mixups combined with the other tools that skarlet has, she will be considered on the same level as kabal and Cyrax.
People will finally understand they can uppercut out of kabals gimmicks and blow up iagb spamming with teleports.
Quan Chi will become less meter dependent because he will be forced to. EX rune will be patched to knock the opponent down.
Jade and Noob Saibot will be higher tier.
Tournament mode will be added as a main menu option and become the standard for any tournaments. without requiring you to enter in a specific button code before a match starts. This will happen because completely random events that can potentially determine the outcome of a match are fucking stupid.
