Indeed.Plane > bus?
A plane ticket is better. And you don't have to leave on Thursday. Here is the schedule for each game.Greyhound says it's about a 15 hour ride; also it will cost a $122.32 (not sure if this is one way or roundtrip though?)
United Airlines says it will cost about $236 for a roundtrip ticket to Los Angeles and back.
Plane > bus? What do you guys think.
It will be streamed. Not everyone can ride a plane though(pressure reasons) plus, with terrorists these days...screw that lol. I'd love to take a train though, I know it would take a few days but would be nice.
Anywho, Krayzie will you guys be taking vids of your matches man?
Oh no, that makes me sad to hear man.Well it sucks to say but I have to cancel my trip to WCW. I thought I would be able to make the train ride and participate in the tourny, but after this past weekend I can't do it. I was hoping my back would be able to handle it but I now know it can't. I've been bed ridding and in severe pain the last 2 days. Having to be off of my anti-inflammatory meds has finally caught up to me. Sorry guys.
If you would have told me in time, we could have raised the money...Doesn't $236 seem like a little much?! I don't have that kind of money
West Coast Warzone is a major tournament, a newer one, but a major nonetheless. NEC is also a major and one of the bigger east coast tournaments. Winter Brawl is also now a major tournament.Well don't count me out just yet, but yeah, that sounds good.
Is WCW one of the smaller tournaments? Isn't NEC and Winter Brawl up there too? I know EVO is the biggest tournament of the year. But in terms of tier, what level would you put all the major tournaments? From like greatest to least greatest...
There is no possible way I could word it any better.West Coast Warzone is a major tournament, a newer one, but a major nonetheless. NEC is also a major and one of the bigger east coast tournaments. Winter Brawl is also now a major tournament.
Basically there are local tournaments, regional locals, and majors. EVO would be also be classed as a major tournament, but its more like the world series of majors.
Starting in early January, EVO is partnering with the top grass-roots tournament organizers to form a regular season of fighting games. Our 2011 season will run from January through July, culminating in the EVO World Finals July 29-31 at the Rio Hotel and Resort, Las Vegas. At each stop of the tournament season, players will earn ranking points that will directly determine their seed in the tournament brackets at the EVO World Finals. With literally thousands of players attending the finals, you're going to want to secure that seed if you want to advance far in the brackets.

Thats the plan.since umk3 is going to be at a good amount of majors wouldn't it seem right or fair if you will for it to be at Evo? I'm ridiculously stoked for wcw3 btw hahaha
We might just be able to get someone to go with you.K, my last ditch effort...I can't make it down there on my own, so if anyone in Portland, Oregon is going down to the tourny, let me know. I would love to get a ride with you. I really want to go.
If not, then maybe next tourny, Glen. Thanks for the invite though, appreciate it. Maybe I'll get to see you all one day soon enough.
You can register on friday. So don't even worry about that.Well I haven't signed up yet (don't want to waste the $50 if I can't go) and isn't the last day to register the 9th? Which is tomorrow. Let me know if you find someone today to go with so I can register asap.
Thank you, Thank you! :top:i will be signing up tonight
Alright. I'll keep my eyes glued. You can register on friday. So don't even worry about that.
I'll get someone to go with you, just give me a second. Please keep your eye on this forum.
Not only will I find you someone to go with. But I will find you a local place where they play Super. :top:Alright. I'll keep my eyes glued.
Anything you want man. The Gamer-Handle area has nothing to do with PSN or XBL, but rather who you will go as.When I signed up, can I put my PSN as "LIVE2DIE", or do I have to put it like it is actually spelled, which is "Live2Diee"?
