This event was awesome!
We didn't get quite as many entrants as we would have liked, however the entry for off games at WCW this year was painfully low.
UMK3 got more than Tekken or MvC2, and MKDC tied with MvC2 Low Tier. That means only SSFIV and HDR had more entrants than us.
Shout outs to the very special people that made this happen:
McNasty: I think we literally could not have done this without you. Your amazing setup for UMK3 really made us stand out, and you handled so much of the button mapping, set up, and take down that you probably did more work than Bone and I did! Congratulations on getting 2nd place in your first tournament too, keep on beasting you Kaillera Scrub!
TWZTID: One of the coolest guys to hang out with. Definitely a more awesome guy offline than I thought he would be. Definitely a huge help in the setup and take down department, also for bringing your PS3 for MKDC. Thanks for making the trip down to support us, and hopefully we'll be driving up there for an event some time soon. Upload the picture of our water cooler ASAP.
Tom Brady: What a character this guy is. Thanks for coming to beast on us and lay down some knowledge. I know you'll definitely be doing huge things in MK9 and I plan on doing the same, so I'm sure that we'll meet again before long. Definitely one of the only people that I can agree with on a lot of ideas related to the fighting game scene. Also, your commentary is GDLK, and everyone should remember that for MK9. And fucker, you threw out my burrito when we got to Jack in the Box...
Phantom 88: SUPER solid Sub Zero! Sorry for giving you bad directions, and I hope to see you at future events. Thanks for making it down.
Shoryuken: Thanks for housing Tom for a day. Sorry we didn't come out to visit but some asshole broke the window of my car and stole my stereo. Grats on getting 2nd, I can't imagine how good you would be with solid offline competition.
Krayzie Bone: I made you eat your pony. Also you left your ham in my car.
Between Krayzie's casuals/tournaments at our school and my tournaments at Family Fun Arcade, Krayzie and I will continue to bring MK events to the West Coast.
And let me just say that I don't plan on this being the last Major to have MK on the West Coast d=
