The bow was a bow and thats why I don't think its Nightwolfs...his was the green mystic thing...he don't need no stinking bow...would be an odd thing to lose powers like that...
Maybe they're taking a different appraoch in this darker grittier verision of MK. Maybe he lost some of his abilities when he sarcrificed himself to kill Sindel. Whe don't know man, it could be nightwolf although I don't actually see a reason or any legitimite logic to support his comeback.

Honestly, MIleena just looks cooler in nightime/infront of the moon renders. Imagine it during the day, that wouldn't be as badass imo. Good observation though, definitely possible! But I haven't heard of any distinct relationship between Mileena and the Moon lolIt's the witch or Santa Claus who used to appear trough the moon in MK9
