But yeah, I enjoy playing SFV, but holy hell did Capcom drop a serious ball here.

So i haven't played this game in awhile but decided to jump on and man Kolin's gameplay is fucking sick! She may have a butter face but her gameplay makes up for it.

do you guys really think they would patch the game 4 days before the first cpt event and without an announcement?

I mean I don't know why they're doing server maitenance so early in the month but I can't expect this is the patch

I highly doubt it's the patch as well, but it's wishful thinking. Them delaying a patch that's going to likely have a pretty damn large effect on the competitive scene is kinda stupid though, people need to be grinding for the season and that's all up in the air right now with changes looming, changes that are likely to be atleast somewhat major.

It's just pathetic how little they are communicating and leaving everyone to speculate and wonder and scratch our heads.

Do all canceled vTriggers have the same hit and block advantage? I'm saying like I do a foot sweep, (cr.hk) and my opponent blocks it then I cancel that into vTrigger, are all vTriggers at the same block frames? Or on hit?

No. it changes depending on how much block/hitstun the move you use has.

for cammy and ryu it should but not all characters have the same frame data on trigger. I'm pretty sure both cammy and ryu are in the same 0 recovery boat. Though akuma should be 5 frames behind them, and Urien should be 3-12 frames behind akuma depending on which aegis he uses.

It was to be expected. Larry was a tough little fucker, but no one can hold up under the strain that is the creaking, leaning, leaking, rickety pile of bamboo, masking tape and gorilla glue that is Capcom's CFN infrastructure. The real surprise here is that he lasted as long as he did. Do an autopsy and I bet he has and oversized heart and lungs.

ranked is stable again at least and I got more diamonds than platinums for once today so that was nice

So the update was there to help with matchmaking? Has this been officially stated or just an observation?

I'm playing FH right now, but if they stabilize CFN some I'll start playing again. Balance needs work and its frustrating, but at my skill level balance isnt why I'm winning or losing and by the time I start to get to that point the patch will have dropped and we'll have a new meta to deal with any way.

Karin4ever. UNless they nerf her into either crappiness or mediocrity, at which point I'll find someone A+.

it's just like any ordainsry server maitenance. Ranked distributes points everytime is the only improvement for me. Getting matched with laggy connections hasn't been an issue for me almost ever so idk what's it like for people that experienced problems besides the points thing

I meant if Karin were to be nerfed into a mid or low tier character. She's ABSOLUTELY A+ right now. I'm inclined to think she's one of the best characters in the game if you don't take in to account the broken tier characters and even if you do I think arguments can be made for her being top 5-8.

See, you saying you don't have lagg issues proves the netcode and CFN are CAPABLE of delivering a great experience... It's just so poorly optimized (or something) that only a specific portion of players meet whatever weird requirements the game has to work at its full potential.

In my experience, the lower ranks also have more wifi players and players with terrible connections - they probably just don't care as much.

In terms of the server maintenance - CFN has gotten less bad for me as well. My matches nearly always upload to server again. Still not good by any means, but CFN has become tolerable once more (for now).

Cammy is either top 5 or top 8. Juri is better than she was before but I can't say how good she is.
