There are definitely people out there good enough to optimize sfv juri. Please don't act like there aren't.

Also, fill me in on this ryu flowchart. I'd like to know what I'm missing.
Step 1: Throw fireball.
Did they jump? DP. Proceed to step 2.
No? Repeat step 1.

Step 2: Dash up axe kick.
Did it hit? Do a truckload of damage.
No? Don't bother hit confirming. End in fireball. Return to step 1.

So, played a lot of SFV new patch today, got to see lord Akumer, damn he looks fat as fuck and that lion look damn, seeing in game its another thing.

Now to the main stuff.
I see a lot of ppl saying game got slower, i don't think so, in fact, it looks pretty much the same, aside that it feels like i can answer to things that was pretty hard to react to in first place, Input Lag has probably been reduced?

Ken is still fucking alive, everything i used before i still can used it now, and the damage is still big as hell, on top of that his new lion breaker into thunder kick into vt DP~CA does very good damage.
Still has a 3f jab combo starter, and in counters, his neutral still feels awesome

Ibuki got some positive stuff, but there is a lot to work with, since i didn't played her much in S1 due most of her issues, coplin out with the changes were kinda dificult and still lost lots of damage potential since i was kinda getting confused on some things, she is complicated as hell to learn and surely will take some time to lab all that info i just gathered.

for starters, while st.mk is great, sometimes due its range it won't connect st.mp, so this is going to be a issue for new comers in patch, needs to switch it up for cr.mp which has much more range and hits easily.
There is a few things here and there, like linking st.mp into st.mk into st.lk, this needs to be a muscle memory,

glide setups, i used it more to escape shit and to apply some things that still need to be looked at internally.
new ex kunai hoju is useless.

Ibuki builds much meter now, and there is a range where her ex Raida is so dangerous against projectiles now, need to come up with some stuff for the knockdown or resets.

Fuck dahlsim.

No one listen to @FL Rushdown about character choices. He just wants to keep all the anti air jabs for himself. I'm on to you.

It's that early stage when I think Juri might be top tier again. She may just be too difficult to be good in this game

SFV is it's own franchise.
Yeah I have not a clue what "too difficult to be good" means. Whatever difficulty you think she has isn't 1f links or some odd stance shit or EWGF. The hardest thing she has is slight resource management.

If that last statement is about SFV being so different from SF4, that's kind of Street fighter's thing. Every sequel been very different.
 
I figured as much. I was gonna be like ehhh cus I really have no interest in Ryu at all so it was gonna suck so bad having to use him. Thank u both !
Ryu's a bum. Cammy should serve as a fine character to learn the game with. Just make sure you pick up that gdlk battle outfit and you're set.

Juri was the worst character in S1 :s

Manually timing meaties, confirming off single hits bur into store on block, getting a counter-hit and seeing whether they're standing so you can go into the target combo or they're crouching because then you can get axe kick after st.mp etc

Everything is just extra with Juri for no reason. I shouldn't have to think this much

SFIV? cr. jab x 200
SFxT? LMHLMHLMHLMH x 200
KOF14? cr. A xx max x 200
KI? Mash openers into herp derp ultra

There, I just boiled down a bunch of fighting games into a flowchart.

What single hit confirms are you trying besides st.HP from a forward throw?

She got MP into MK on normal hit now.

She's got a bunch of counter hit shit.

Save the TC for shit like stun combos and throw bait.

For the last time, Ken does not have a 3f jab combo starter! Stop saying that! :p

The game is the same speed, same input lag. Some moves have more frames while others are a little faster.

Most everyone had frames added onto their buttons. Even if they stayed the same on hit/block. This is probably a lot of it.

I'm looking at mastery level of the character when it's 3/4 days into the patch which is as ridiculous as Rushdown saying R.Mika was an honest character

This is a revelation. I thought I picked her because I liked the character and used her SFxT
Ok and if that's your criteria for picking a character why do you care if she isn't top tier? She's good enough that 99.9% of players could play her in 99.9% of situations and not lose specifically because of the character. So if you like her, play her.

But Ryu absolutely could flowchart. Just because YOU played respectfully and with thought, didn't mean everyone did and it further doesn't mean that Ryu didn't get mileage out of it at low to intermediate levels.

No he can't lol. Even mikas flowchart was full of readable gaps. You could still do it with Mika it was just bad. Ryu on the other hand definitely doesn't have a flowchart. If you think he does I'd like you to post it.
