Smoke Shake Glitch - Should it be unbanned?

And this is exactly why you should not post in this thread. You do not follow logic; you bend your perception of ideas based upon how you want to view them instead of how they actually are.
Because a 200+ post thread about how using a bug in tournaments should be unbanned makes sense. *Nods*
Smoke needs to use bugs, that 100% reset is boring to use.

Check the forum you are posting in. If you are not going to argue productively in this thread on either side, I will delete all further posts you make here. The fact that you think smoke resets are boring to use has 0 bearing on the issue of Smoke's Shake Glitch.

So the glitch gives Smoke true invisibility? I remember back in MK 2 days Reptile had true invisibility, none of this fancy looking "shimmer predator" effect where you can still effectively see the opponent.

It gives him the same invisibility that his EX invisibility special (du+3+blk) gives, except it lasts forever with this glitch.

So even if he is hit, he still remains invisible?

Hmm, true invisibility isnt that much of a problem, not sure about perma though.

Out of interest, if he is frozen by SZ or CSZ, is the statue invisible?

Well you attacked me, took it on a personal level and I'm making fun of you for taking the game so seriously.
I already made a valid argument but let me back it up.
This is my personal opinion, I'm not NRS personnel and my say has no decisive factor in the outcome of this thread, but at the same time I am entitled to my opinion just as much as the next man. The fact that I solely play a supposedly "fish tier" character and making the best of her will speak volumes of how seriously I am taking the entire game and how much I care about winning at any cost over playing the character that I enjoy the personality of. For this reason my point of view is also a sentimental one, something that many can argue and will argue on the same level as they would argue me considering the use of invincibility bug and anything else granting unintended advantage in the game, as something to be banned.

0. I already consider resets without a proper counter system, to be broken. Being able to deal over 50% damage to the opponent by landing a single hit and then maintaining the juggle with the current breaker system only allowing a breaker with two bars active, is absurd, lame, and makes this game so many levels lower in quality of development.
1. This bug or glitch or whatever you want to call it, grants Smoke an opportunity to sell the reset.
2. Whereas his reset is a legitimate tool, no matter how lame, it is part of the game and its system as intended while the above bug is clearly not.
3. In games where there is live development and constant update going on, such an issue would be fixed overnight. Unfortunately the prehistoric update policy of the console industry makes this difficult or supposedly impossible in any foreseeable future.
4. It is a matter of good sportsmanship not to use a glitch that grants you leverage to render your opponent helpless by any method which was not intended to be a part of the gaming system. This is exploiting and exploiting is frowned upon by any gaming community worth its salt.
I have been wrong about this community before, and if it is such a case, I apologise and I'll happily avoid Kabal players and applaud them while they win the game using the invincibility glitch.

EDIT: Also as I have no reason to sow discord or hate on anybody over T3h Int4rwebz for how they think and what they think about a computer game, I will take a step back after casting my vote on the thread's question.

No, it shouldn't be unbanned.

Yes, it remains even if he is hit. There should be a video in or near the OP, I suggest you watch it, it's essentially got all the details :)

.............except for the freeze part. I am actually not sure what happens if he's frozen while in this state. Good question.... REO xSMoKEx ?

I never attacked you. Ever. I said that, since you believe that all glitches should be banned, you should play by your own rules and stop abusing Jade's flash+staff normal glitch.

0. This is a hilarious point. You state there isn't a proper counter system, yet go on to talk about breakers. I'll let you put two and two together. Oh, and by the way? You could just not get hit by Smoke or Cyrax, and you could just not get yourself cornered vs. Jax. The counter to a reset situation is to not get caught in the reset situation.
1. Re-check your use of English, this point does not make sense as a sentence let alone an argument.
2. Smoke's reset is NOT an intended part of the game. It is a glitch that was brought into the game on accident when Smoke's OTG was patched, and has been removed from PS VITA which is the most current version of the game. It is not intended.
3. Go yell at Microsoft and Sony.
4. I cite Starcraft 1 Carrier Micro as a legitimate use of a glitch that was a HUGE part of professional metagame. Starcraft is one of, if not the, biggest eSports worldwide. Your point is moot. Like I said before, please discontinue using Jade's flash+staff normal glitch.

Kabal's Invincibility Glitch is banned. This thread has nothing to do with Kabal whatsoever. Stop changing the subject.

The opponent just stays frozen for about 14 seconds, then they'll just instantly teleport on their feet under wherever they were frozen. They don't take any additional damage or anything, and they can block as soon as they hit the floor or perform an attack / armor / do anything you normally would be able to.

Let me summarize this thread, if you play Smoke you will agree with unbanning it. If you don't play with him, you could care less. Argument solved :)

What I mean is after the glitch is done.... and both players are at neutral again with smoke having permanent invisibility... what happens if he is hit by sub zero ice ball/ice clone or csz ice ball/EX parry? Does Smoke stay invisible, or does the freeze animation reveal him for the period of his being frozen, or what exactly happens? Just curious.

I don't think i've tested tbh :S I believe your frozen in place for the regular duration, but invisible still. Nothing else takes you out of it so i don't think it would change because of a freeze effect. It is a glitch so i'm guessing the freeze effect would not correct it.
