I don't think a list has made top 8 in a major at all. Dizzys won/ place in regionals though and I snuck in a Top 8 at the scr major with stunt double lol.
A list is fine. I see people letting cages get away with 113 rc f2 though lol

I was joking that Cage was like Tanya. Admittedly Tanya isn't that brain dead, but she is a leagues easier to play than Cage.

But yeah, A-List has never placed at a major and people never seem to poke or armor through 113. No cancel protects you after going for his low option.

113 is plus 1 so it is safe if skrc'ed. But you give up your pressure going for it. I use it for as a mix up. Not at all as a regular thing.

I mean, why would anyone want A-List nerfed completely ignoring the GORROR that is Liu Kang?

It honestly doesn't take a genius to figure this stuff out, but IMO, there isn't a cage player playing to his potential yet.

And just because you play Cage doesn't therefore mean you know how to play against him.

For example I've seen Cage players saying to fuzzy the 113/11 f2 thing, when in fact you should full combo his ass for ever thinking of throwing out f2 when he hasn't got advantage to do so. Such as this situation.

If NRS decides to nerf A-List pressure, the variation loses all his purpose and who wants to use Johnny will just pick SD, who will still be able to jail using his clones.
It would be a dumb move by NRS, not justified by anything since the character never excelled in tournaments too....he is in the top 10-15 discussion, but not among the very best characters in the game.

Where is the "Should Kung Lao be nerfed" thread?

The difference is, one needs stamina to jail, the other needs meter, fair enough if you spend a bar to jail.

many liu nerf threads, quan, tania , jc as well , but lao therads don't.
maybe lao mains are plotting , aiming any other char nerfs but leaving lao broken.
you can see , in every nerf thread they are there lol

Stunt Double doesn't use meter to jail, any blocked string into normal shadow kick clone leaves him at +14.

And btw, since when is jailing with stamina any different than doing it with meter? Both are using important resources to get a blockstring.
Who jails with meter can also close the distance with a short run and keep doing his blockstrings just fine, who uses stamina has to be careful when moving on the screen if he wants to be able to jail the opponent later.
Also...who jails with meter gets meter back during the blockstring, making the blockstrings much longer usually

you can be as good as you are but really need to commit to jc to see his shortcomings.

I would like see dizzy djt or eddie discuss this. I doubt you can have a full enough understanding to say hes broken or fucked up.

My 2 cents. I never see anybody who actually plays jc say hes broken or top.

As well as people not playing jc to his potential, a lot of people are not playing the matchup AGAINST him properly he gets away with 113 skc and like you said the 113 f2 mixups.

Not to mention you can option select a lot of his pressure with armour like tanya
