Question - A-List Should a list be nerfed

This is what throws me off. Nobody does this lol. People think the possibility of armor coming out should be the end of pressure. Making them feel pressured to want to armor is still part of the pressure.

Execution =/= balanced. That's why Viper is constantly top tier in SFIV, despite being the most execution intensive character. Hell, Fox and Falco are two of the most execution intensive characters in Melee. #1 and #2 spots, unanimously.

There should be a global nerf rule for all the cast.

If <any given nerf> to <any given character> helps Grandmaster in the matchup, then never implement it.

It's as simple as that.

I hate the "hard to execute so grant me leniency argument." There's always people saying that yet there are legions of players performing said execution. People always figure it out eventually it's just some faster then most.

Liu Kang has loop-able FBC, MB Flying Kick that characters can't do squat about, not to mention the armor break on b1.

We JC mains know that JC is strong and may be in top5-10, but we think JC doesn't need nerfs unless Kung Lao, Tanya, Quan Chi, Cassie, Liu Kang are nerfed too. (especially Kung Lao and Tanya)

you know johnny's cancels do almost the exact same thing liu kang's does only difference is you might be able to duck at one point haven't tested with the hit advantage but you can armor. and there isn't up to 5 characters in this game who can't do anything about mb flying kick without spending a bar sooooo why is kang so much better? i'm not saying kang isn't disgusting with his zoning and full screen flying kick but johnny gets okay zoning and better pressure IMO. including not having liu kangs problems. no bad pokes, has an advancing string and more

Liu Kang is far more overpowered than Cage will ever be, everyone knows it, downplaying will actually not help at all. Cage does not have better pressure, there have been threads on this already.

not trying to down play liu is crazy but so is johnny and multiple top players have said johnny has better run cancels. Even in ketchup's eu tier list they said he has the best run cancels in the game this isn't down playing liu just don't act like johnny isn't damn near as bad

I think its also important to note Liu kang's armor breaking strings in this discussion (ie: b21 which can be fb cancelled) liu has a lot of good tools -zoning game, fast startups (f1 @ 6 or 7 frames) d3 +1 on block and a very good uppercut, a deceptively long ranged b2 which is also an overhead and gives hard knock down. Dont think he's broken though, his wakeup/reversal game isnt very good although his db2 is safe, it tends to get low profiled.
