How am I supposed to deal with Catwoman? I get absolutely blown up
I feel like she makes me struggle quite a bit too, Going to work on this one.
Just maintain a life lead and build meter with evading teleport. Shazam does a really good job of out zoning CW. Don't take any risk for big damage when you have the lead. She can zone but her's is much more riskier then Shazam. Her zoning tools consist of moves that involve her whip (d2, d3, special moves). Bad thing is the range on these moves makes it real difficult to approach CW. Good thing is you can MB b3,f3 these moves. Considering you have meter. Basically, you want to save majority of your meter for situations like the ones I explained. Her wakeup game is awful as well. I use a lot of MB b3,f3 on her wakeup.

I don't think he loses those matchups because I use Shazam wrong, I think he loses those matchups because I destroy every Shazam I play with Doomsday and grundy. I feel like they are too dominate up close and Shazam can't zone so he is forced to fight them up close.... and he doesn't do so well lol. Vs grundy every time he touches you, you lose 50% of your life. Vs Doomsday, his footsies and rushdown are too dominate and he can blow up all of your wakes up on reaction.

When I fight Shazam with Doomsday, every time I knock Shazam down I wait to see what wakeup attack he does. If he teleports towards me, I punish his teleport with a combo. If he teleports away from me, I punish it with venom. If he stands there and does nothing, I MB Venom for frame advantage and start my pressure. Shazam seems helpless
You cannont punish his wakeups on reaction. When you try to stuff his teleport, you are guessing. There are not enough recovery frames on teleport for you to see and react using slow ass venom as a punish.

I don't really see how DD has advantage against Shazam. Shazam has the advantage in mobility, so he doesn't really have to fight doomsday up close. Shazam should focus on moving in and out of DD range, whiff punishing whenever possible.

Against Grundy, I don't think he has many problems either. Again, Shazam has mobility advantage. Sure, Grundy does 50% combos, but guess what? So does Shazam! Shazam is gonna do around 40-52% every time he hits you. Also, I think Shazam has an easier time applying pressure Grundy on wakeup than Grundy does against Shazam.

GL isn't bad at all. Getting in can be annoying at times, but once you're in, you can kill him with oki because his wakeups are pretty weak.

I agree with this 100%. I play Grundy and Doomsday regularly, and since the patch came out I feel Shazam dominates. His Tele wake up is insane to try to punish because if you mess up you eat 35 to 50% easy. Plus like you said Shazams mobility leaves them in the dust. Grundy and Doomsday in my opinion are 6-4 in Shazams favor. The character that presents issues for me is.......Raven. Damn gravity squeeze gets me every time lol. She controls the whole damn screen and just when you think you understand the match up, you forget about that damn Demon Stance. However even though I believe Raven wins, it's not by a huge margin.

I never felt raven was that bad. Her zoning doesn't really keep u out, it just slows you down. Her wakeups aren't really that great either, so you can really hurt her once you get a knockdown. I feel that the giant distance travelled by his dash makes zoning him with pillars difficult

I can see what your saying but the Gravity Squeeze keeps me in check. I did however find that once I get to her, a raw Command Grab is an excellent choice

Just be more patient. If you block a soul crush, you get a free dash. Two dashes and you're in. You can duck her fireball.

Green Arrow I actually do really hate. Its pretty hard to open up a good turtley GA, even worse post patch. I find that I end up having to do some YOLO shit for a knockdown, and then just hope I can pressure him. Savage blast can be beaten on oki by either a J2 or a teleport forward into a D2 combo. Point blank ATs on wakeup can be somewhat effective as well, but not too rewarding.

Well, my buddy AWG Indecisive played against 7L recently. And they both came to the conclusion the best way to approach the MU is to pick a new character.... However, Indecisive being the stubborn character loyalist since he picked up Shazam actually wants to learn the MU. Despite there being not much to do against his Back shot (which I believe is Savage Blast, not sure, I don't play GA myself).

I plan to pick him up so he can get better in the MU since it's not too easy to find GA players. But honestly wondering if anyone had any info that could be helpful to the MU....

Shazam community needs all the help from each other they/you can get,

Once Grundy gets the health chain, Shazam doesn't even out his damage. And grundy has armor out the ass... Grundy seems to not give a damn about Shazam's oki....

Just being fair.

Savage blast doesn't shut down everything for Shazam, just all of his safe options. You can B2 and AT through Savage Blast. You just gotta make some good reads. No way is the matchup even though. I'd say the matchup is 6-4 at best.

You can actually advancing tele through most of his wake-ups and score a punish if you know the timing. If he MB's savage blast though you are boned out.

Kind of an interesting way to play a MU.... Makes me feel like any MU that goes that way is a little worse than a 4-6, but then again, I'm not a GA or Shazam player, just trying to get some discussion going while Indecisive is crashed out...

Sadly I am the insomniac of our team hahahaha

How does Grundy ignore Shazams oki? All of his wakeup options are punishable.

I mean, it comes down to the same situation I have as DS against Shazam.... REALLY difficult to get any oki going on him since I really have to guess if there will be a WU teleport or not, and which way it's going.... 1/3 shot in guessing right, then only a 50/50 in that 1/3 of it working. When the advantage of guessing isn't in your favor, it's a lot harder to make your oki work.

Grundy can also do a form of the Aug 2 by doing his b.1 (the low kick starter?) into a reversed grab input and if you tele it hits and if you don't it'll beat torpedo (if its also grab immune then you have some big trouble)

All setups after b1 (minus the grab) are back dash able.
F1 is the low kick.
