Reo's MK 11 Tier list

No professional here at all, but I've fought a lot of fights in this short amount of time, and I fight random people from complete newbies to vets.

These are the things I'm pretty damn sure about:

Erron Black is straight up braindead and stupid good. The man does ridiculous things for no effort.
Geras is at least as good as Erron and maybe even better, but you do need to have measurable brain activity to play him. He reminds me of crystaline Tremor in MKX.

Scorpion is brain dead but not as stupid powerful as Erron Black is.

Jacqui is good possibly great but demanding AF to play.
Liu Kang is easy to play and does everything well. Though doesn't excel at any one thing.

Shao Kahn is at least middle of the pack, or I am playing against some character specialists. I see him labled as low-tier but I've been bodied by him too often to go that route. I think he's decent at least.

Kollector might be really good. I only played against one and it went back and forth, but I felt like the character was better than my opponent was playing him.

Noob-Saibot is utterly average. He might even be low-mid.

Frost is really bad or really good depending on the matchups. That is to say she is inconsistent as hell.

Jade needs some help.

If I didn't talk about them, it means I don't have experience with them.

I don't want to be too late with this, so without further ado here is my Injustice 3 tier list based on -2 or -3 years of playing it.

S tier: Superman, Supergirl, Captain America
A tier: Thanos(his 50/50 is insane), Mr.Freeze, Shazam
B: The Power Rangers

Absolutely no love for mah main Etrigan...

This is a decent list but I have a disagree with a lot of it. I am but a humble nobody but here is my list:

S Tier: Baraka, Cassie, Cetrion (Sleeper OP), Dvorah (People haven't figured her out yet)
A Tier: Erron Black (Overrated), Frost, Geras, Jacqui, Jade, Jax
B Tier: Johnny, Kabal, Kano, Kitana., Kotal, Kollector
B- Tier: Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Noob Saibot, Raiden, Scorpion (Hella Overrated), Shao Kahn
C (Secret Trash Tier): Skarlet, Sonya, Sub

Totally disagree on Kung Lao and Liu Kang... they are easily A tier. I mean FFS Liu Kang is still one of the few that has an MK9 style single move pop up for free in a game that's lost most pop up options. Kung Lao still very much feels like his MK9 self.

Agreed on Scorpion, he needs much, much more... he's only seen as 'good' right now because people aren't used to him being able to stagger Amp Hellport DESPITE THE FACT BOTH HITS ARE UNSAFE AF. He really has fuck all going for him.... he either needs his meterless Spear capture back, or Misery Blade to be frigging BASELINE. His damage scaling is also way too harsh and unfair compared to others.

Noob should be higher, his output is too good despite him being reversal focused... at least B+. Shao Kahn should be lower, he has even less going for him than Scorpion. Sub-Zero should be higher if only because he still has a meterless capture.... his normals are as bad as Scorpion.

Raiden should be in a tier on his own on the floor... He defines the new floor...

Are you asking for Scorpion buffs? Bro, Scorpion is really good, easily top 6 in the game. He doesn’t need to be nerfed but he certainly doesn’t need to be buffed.

People need to stop asking for changes. Just play the damn game.

Not trying to debunk, I'm just curious as to what makes you think so? There's debate about a lot of characters, but it seems to be the almost unanimous consensus that D'Vorah is lacking.

I already replied to a similar question in post #172. I think she's being slept on, just like Kabal, which I play.

To be completely honest I didn't know about that, but I think once her hitboxes get fixed she'll be fairly high.

I agree with almost every bit REO's tier list--at least initially. Of course a few characters will be discovered to be better or worse than initial impressions, but this is a solid foundation of who has what tools and how effectively can they deal damage.

People saying Shao is decent are delusional.

I really dislike how often people use S tier. S to me says "Something is fucked, you almost certainly need to play someone from here". Is the balance really that wack right now? Doesn't seem to be that bad, (although it's clearly not great)

I agree, to me S tier in fighting games has always meant broken and probably needs looked at by the devs. This clearly isnt what is meant by S here imo

Jacqui is A and not A+ because her footies is pretty slow compared to those of sonya, and she has little to no ranged zoning tools. at least jax has a grenade launcher.

Erron Black and Geras. That's the S-Tier, the S stands do Stupid.

Sonya not S+ for me just because I haven’t seen enough of her yet.

Sub, Geras and Erron Black are without a doubt in a tier of their own. I wasn’t sure about Sub, now I am.

Sub has everything. Probably the best dash in the game (super quick good distance). Has 50/50’s for days that lead to full combos or KB’s. Can punish just about everything in the game including blocked FB’s. Doesn’t really have to play by the same rules as other characters, he just has everything covered tbh.

Scorpion is super good but doesn’t belong with those 3. Play against a good Geras, EB and Sub then play against a good Scorpion and you’ll see what I mean. Scorpion HAS to play footsies. His only weaknesses, really, is his lack of safeness and mixups. Also since it takes him a minute to open you up and his high damaging combo’s all are juggles, he suffers vs breakaway where as characters like Sub Zero is completely unaffected by it.

Noob and Baraka are super strong but not MAD good like the ones above them, same tier as Scorpion for me.

Jacqui and Kabal are higher on mine. Kabal is still really solid and will get better as the game goes along with more of his variation moves added for tournaments. Jacqui is a well rounded, super strong character. Her cancel string is amazing.

Cage has some whiffing issues but he’s still very solid. Especially considering once those issues are fixed he will be a huge threat imo.

Kung Lao is pretty good, but not the best. His mobility and general quickness is what puts him up a little bit for me compared to REO’s.

I wanted to quote Rewind here because what I think he says is true but I disagree on the last part. I think if you can master a low tier character and play that character nobody else can, or play that character in a way that doesn't represent what the tier list says, then I think you have a chance fighting against the top tier characters. Idk how to articulate it but I hope you all get what I what I'm trying to say.

Even though it's early, I feel like there are stand out moves/situations that other chars may not have. Tbh, I think it's too early to get the TYM pitchfork crew armed. I am really excited to see some national events to see how well other chars/variations do. I think only after a healthy sum of tournaments should patching be applied.

The only good thing he got out of this game is the possibility of a dope-ass Aztec wheelchair.

I definitely agree with your list. Even though Scorpion might not be at the tip top, I feel like I get plagued by a wave of Scorpions online though. Lol

Different tiers of characters is what makes fighting games fun.

Fighting games are boring AF if all characters are the same strengths.
