proud TERF!
Sorry, but I've played every Tekken game ever and, to me, Tekken 7 takes the cake as "the game which might as well have destroyed the series".I can't handle these opinions right now. T7 crappy?
I need to take my leave.

Did you play Tekken 3 back in the day? It had some dark moments, like a grandpa killing his own grandson for example.Tekken doesn't even take itself seriously, end of story.
Stop using the "he died in X tower endings" argument, it is non canon and we all know it.Good reason you are saying? Well, let's see at Jax. He is retired farmer, doesn't want to involve in the fight at all, was already dead and bought back, agreed for last mission in MKX, passed the torch to his daughter, was killed off in 3 (?) endings - even if non-canon, still could be a hint. And what we have now? Oh no, Jax is in again. If that are not good reasons to let fighter rest for ONE game, then what potentially could be?
And it's fine, I don't want to elaborate more, cause you already know my opinion. He just asked for good reason to leave someone out, so I used the example of Jax to bring IMHO perfect reasons. Even though the endings are not canon at all and we all know about it, the narration guided all of us to the point that we all believed that now it's Jax's time to sit and even let his daughter shine. Then NRS came up with time-travel-mumbo-jumbo to have the reason to bring all the characters they want and that's it.Stop using the "he died in X tower endings" argument, it is non canon and we all know it.
People seem to forget that the stories are built around the roster, and not the other way around. Jax returns in MK11 because he has a huge fan base and he is an iconic MK fighter. The story will be based around timetravel and alternative timelines, so a younger Jax will take his place in the story.
I fully agree with this especially with confirmation that the story mode will be a lot longer this time. Most of the footage we've seen in trailers are from the early part of the story mode, there's still plenty of time for people to be added/seen later on that we don't know about yet.
Lol I see what you did there Espio. The best part of this post is you citing series staples and fan favorites: Raiden, Sub-Zero and Shang Tsung .
Good point, I never heard of people trashing the Kazama family for taking up roster slots. People are just extra salty that their faves are not in right now, and of course, it's the fault of every character they don't like that their main is not in there.I do wonder if Tekken fans get as mad about Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi and other family members taking roster slots.
It's not like Cassie, Sonya and Cage aren't more popular than most of the characters people want over them. Even if Sonya's voice actor and play style isn't what I or many others are big on, she has decades of legacy and fan base appeal.
I just find it very hard to complain because I probably won't get Stryker or Sheeva, but I can step back and realize that NRS is giving us Mk1/MK2 roster, a large chunk of the UMK3/Trilogy roster faves with Noob, Kabal, Jade, some cool new characters, 3D era characters like Frost, MKX faves like Cassie, Kotal, D'vorah, Erron etc. They went out of their way to have a roster for a whole plethora of different tastes and this is without us knowing if Mileena, Rain etc are in as DLC or base or what the full roster for KP will be at the end. Shang Tsung being in is a huge victory.
I don't think it's fair analysis to say because one or two characters we like is out, the roster is trash or not good. I would be pretty disappointed if there was no Jade or Erron, but I wouldn't classify it as trash or weak.
Fails and bails*.
I have to agree that I wish Tekken aesthetically wouldn't be as weeb lollipop at times, but that's to be expected with Japanese games. I think the game would be way more popular than it already is in the states and EU if it played the same way and just had a more westernized theme to it all.
Like seriously... I rest my case.
If this was in Mortal Kombat, I would burn all my old MK games and never looked back at another mortal kombat AGAIN.
This entire DLC for MK11 is going to be packed with characters who were in the last game, make no mistake about it. Ermac and Reptile will not be left out. Mileena is going to be an unlockable alongside Rain, calling it now. But, you also have to think why would they have her as DLC when she was in the last game? Why wouldn't they give that spot to someone who hasn't had a chance yet? (It's the same reason I don't see Ermac or Reptile being DLC)
I have a feeling I want her in more than the majority of people on here. But, I want her on base. I feel like there are a ton of female characters more deserving of a DLC spot and a second chance.
Please no... NRS... no. Nothing against Chameleon but dont butcher Ermac and Reptile for some goofy crap like this. The more I think about it, the more I think the exclusion of Rain, Ermac, and Reptile might mean that we actually will get Chameleon as DLC.
It'd be following the theme of the multiple-characters-in-one DLC that we've had for MK11 and Injustice2.
I think more people would pay for Mileena than Sindel or Sareena. Probably just don't hear people asking for her because they're assuming she'll be in the game. I know she's been out before, but I think they realize fans want her more than most of the 3D era characters. She's either base game or not. I can't see her being DLC when we got characters like Sindel and Sareena that people have been begging for.
i dont think those two would be unloable if we play there human forms in the storyIF there are in fact unlockable characters within the 25 base roster. My guess is that they are Empress Kitana and Emperor Liu Kang. The other choices seem just random.
Tekken's fanbase is infamously ornery and that's a series that brings back like 80% of the characters from the previous game every single time. People bitch about guests and character redesigns like its nobody's business too, its literally no different.Good point, I never heard of people trashing the Kazama family for taking up roster slots. People are just extra salty that their faves are not in right now, and of course, it's the fault of every character they don't like that their main is not in there.
The Traveler could also fill that role if he ends up being Chameleon. (I don't think he will be) We already know he's able to spear people like scorpion in there. (from steam achievements) So it would be a way for you to do all different cool stuff within the krypt, using moves from other ninjas while giving Chameleon a real backstory. The more I think about it, the more I think the exclusion of Rain, Ermac, and Reptile might mean that we actually will get Chameleon as DLC.
It'd be following the theme of the multiple-characters-in-one DLC that we've had for MK11 and Injustice2.
Can we add the possibility that they just didn't code the page right when it comes to the locks that don't pop up?
No, there's still 3 slots unaccounted for. Jax is already included in the list of known slots. So with Jax we only have 1 slot left?
Wait, really? That's great! I thought both Jax and Cetroin were missing, but now that I think about it Jax was in the leak so it makes sense, do you have a link to it?No, there's still 3 slots unaccounted for. Jax is already included in the list of known slots.
