No. I did not. You're acting as though the certain tools we speak of are a saving grace and will get us the win when no one has proclaimed that. All we're saying is he has great tools at his disposal for what he does as a character. If you want a character with 50/50's play Sub-Zero or Sonya. Noob Saibot isn't your character.I can copy and paste this and apply it to any discussion. This is such generic advice and you've totally missed the point.
No, he does not. He can safely chip you with sand traps from a distance and Noob can neither punish them nor react with the teleport. The sand trap is arguably the best projectile in the game because of its space control. It is vastly superior to the spirit ball and the shadow tackle, but of course almost anything is better than the shadow tackle. You just answered your own question there dave. Now Geras has to come to you. Thats what Noob wants against rushdown characters.
Link to this so called premiere zoning character as advertised? You always harp on about this but nrs never advertised him as a zoning character. If you can provide a link that nrs advertised noob as being a premiere zoning character ill gladly eat crow. Otherwise youre just in your own delusion. He likely is. Perhaps low mid tier at the worst.
First of all, for those players who expected to play a "premier zoning character" as advertised on the Kombat Kast, you will play the wrong gameplay style and end up being frustrated and disappointed.

And that's exactly a huge issue the game has. Most Characters aren't that well designed. Either bad frame data or just lackluster move lists that contradict with what each of them plays for.If Noob is considered a joke of a character, I have to wonder what the term for Kotal would be.
Remember that NRS also called Darkseid a zoning character and Shao Kahn "Doomsday". LOL. Sometimes their labels have no significance whatsoever.Well then.
I stand corrected.
Good find.
I do not think Noob is bad or a joke character. I think he is mid tier. However, I am highly critical of the character's gameplay design, particularly after the false representation on the Kombat Kast. I am also critical of the players who claim he is top 10. In other words, these players are saying that Noob is as good as characters like Baraka, Cassie, Jacqui, Jax, Kabal, and Liu Kang, which I find very hard to believe. If Noob is considered a joke of a character, I have to wonder what the term for Kotal would be.
Which consistent bnb are you using to deal over 40 with 1 bar?You just answered your own question there dave. Now Geras has to come to you. Thats what Noob wants against rushdown characters.
And no, Geras does not deal the same dmg as Noob. Noob deals 40%+ dmg with 1 bar, while Geras deals around 35% dmg with 1 bar in midscreen.
Regarding 50/50s Noobs does not need them.
IDK, they seem pretty well designed to me. Pretty much any character in the game seems to be usable, or at least capable of outplaying the opponent in the correct hands. Most Characters aren't that well designed.
113, teleport amp, tricky part is another 113 but 1 has to whiff. You can micro dash after slam but if first 1 hits then rest fails. Vs females 3 will also whiff. In this case you dont micro dash but micro walk up to kill another frame or 2. Still want first 1 to whiff. Micro gives more time but only vs males.Which consistent bnb are you using to deal over 40 with 1 bar?
Waz dropped this combo at summit, felt real bad.113, teleport amp, tricky part is another 113 but 1 has to whiff. You can micro dash after slam but if first 1 hits then rest fails. After 113, b1, 1+3 teleport.
On females you can connect the entire 113 string into b11+3 actually113, teleport amp, tricky part is another 113 but 1 has to whiff. He cant kill you with the sand traps when in fullscreen. And you can just walk forward and move in that sweet mid range spot where Noob can compete against Geras. Noob also deals great dmg off 113. I never mentioned using b1, 1+3 string unless its a punish and unless opponent pushes buttons in -f etc which is pretty much what i see with every Geras player doing these days . They use f212 on block and then they d1 almost all the time lol. Shit is fun as hell to watch. No, he does not. He can safely chip you with sand traps from a distance and Noob can neither punish them nor react with the teleport. Geras does slightly less damage from a safe, mid-hitting, 11 frame, three-hit string that a monkey can hit-confirm. Noob has b+1,1+3 which is good but nowhere near as good as Geras's f+2,1,2. Besides, Geras punishes b+1,1+3 every single time with the sand trap, as I have mentioned before. The point is I would gladly take 5% less damage from a far better string. Hell, I would even take 10% less damage if Noob had a special move like the sand trap.
You can connect b1, 1+3 after a full connected 113. It just requires practice. Timing is a bit tricky but it can be done. I ve started using this combo 2 days ago and i have almost gotten the hang of it. And you can use it against females as well.113, teleport amp, tricky part is another 113 but 1 has to whiff. You are describing the fundamentals of zoning and proving my point. Noob has to approach Geras who controls the pace of the match with sand traps. Why is a rush down character controlling the pace of the match against a "premier zoning character"?He cant kill you with the sand traps when in fullscreen. And you can just walk forward and move in that sweet mid range spot where Noob can compete against Geras.
One move is a safe, mid-hitting, 11 frame, three-hit string that can easily be hit-confirmed into 35%+ of damage. The other move is a fast high attack that leads to limited damage unless you are in the corner. You are a very good player so I do not have to explain which one is better. For Gera's f212, Noob has f2.
I disagree, but even if you are right, Geras is ubiquitous at the moment. Everyone and their mothers have a pocket Geras.I've played a lot of matchups with him and so far the only real challenging one is Geras.
Well it seems that in NRS's mind they wanted Noob to be a truck hitting monster with really good footsies and spacing tools. Perhaps the "zoning character style" they mentioned was that he can zone out his opponents with his normals, which he can. Thats not a bad thing imo. Ghostball and clone tackle are just a bonus. You are describing the fundamentals of zoning and proving my point. Noob has to approach Geras who controls the pace of the match with sand traps. I agree with the rest of your post.

Right I hate how people comparing them to geras, sonya, and erron black lol. Also: saying a character loses to the likes of Geras does not mean he needs buffs. It just means Geras might be a little too strong overall, he basically excels at every aspect of the game. Of course every other character has a hard time against him.
To me Noob Saibot is a very good characters to use and i find him enjoyable to play withAlright I think it's clear at this point that our boi Nob Saibot isn't very good, it would be a very serious overstatement to even call him viable.
Character has no 50/50s, below average zoning and below average space control. Practically nothing. He doesn't even have any BF1 set ups for the seeing ass variation. NRS please help this joke of a character!
