It's not similar. It's exact. He replaced the capital I with a lower case L and it displays exactly the same. He is impersonating me and it is a violation, but Sony still wouldn't do shit about it.

I never said it was illegal. I just said it was violating Sony's terms, which can potentially get someone banned. To file a report, hover over a received message and hit triangle. Scroll all the way down and you'll see grief report.

He was on top of the leaderboard, but he cheated to get there. He's a pretty good player, but he is a very slow learner.

Not paranoid. I remain skeptical until presented with plausible information and or facts. I have no opinion on Kevin's alternates. I was merely pointing out a flaw in Jason's reasoning that online only identities are interchangeable with real identities. See Birdsongs on TYM, or the movie Catfish, or the Nigerian prince scams to see that that is not always the case.

Obviously you can find some holes in what he said, but he had no reason to gather up further evidence that you obviously require. I'm sure he could. Now when i run into this lowlife Mike Girard fellow who cheats to get to the top of the leaderboards and pretends to be others he refuses to even play me and just quits out of the game, the real Caldwell would not do this.

Something should be done about this person, maybe if we all were to contact Sony they would actually listen and do something about it, impersonating someone else does violate Sony's rules and it would make my day if we could get this bonehead banned from the playstation network.

Regarding Girard (and anyone like him,) the best thing to do is report him to Sony. Girard, for instance, is guilty of so many Terms of Service violations on the PS3 it's not even funny. There's a few ways you can do this...

• If he is sending abusive messages, making false accounts to impersonate another user, or committing some other TOS violation AND he actually sends you a message, hit TRIANGLE on the offending message and go to File a Grief Report. Send it off with the appropriate reason and Sony will review it.
• You can file an online report on Sony's website and report the game the abuse is occurring in, what he is doing, etc. Unfortunately, MKAK is not listed under the dropdown for whatever reason, so this option is not possible for this example.
• Contact Sony customer support either via email or phone and report the user in question. Be sure to be clear about why you are calling (online form does not work, etc)

The problem is, unless the violation is severe (breaking the law,) Sony is not likely to take action immediately unless more than one person reports him. Multiple people need to report the person before Sony does anything.
