I faced a good Subzero online and by the elder gods....
It's not fine when Sub's d1 can punish EVERYTHING Kitana does, because 90% of her moveset are -7 or -8 on block, INCLUDING d1. And custom Sub has safe 50/50.
Fucking THIS. they give plus frames left and right but NOT one of the many useless Kitana strings get anything. What's the point of having multiple all mids strings that edns in -7???? What are the devs doing? Are they not getting paid enough? Can they not afford playtesters? Do they play their own game at all?
Stephanie is a self-proclaimed Kitana main yet the state of Kitana is just sad to see. I guess Steph does not take part in gameplay design.
This assessment is entirely false though.
1,2, down 2 is -6 (safe)
All other parts of the string are safe
Back 1,4,2 -4 (safe/one of her main strings). Back 1 is -4
Back 1, 3 -5 with pushback (safe) the ender of the string is -1 with pushback.
Back 2, 3,1 -5 (safe)
Forward 2, 2 -7 but pushback (down 1 doesn't reach).
Down 3 is -5, low profiles and can anti-air (also safe).
Down 4 is -9 but has so much pushback down 1 doesn't punish).
Back 1,4 is -7 which unless you're constantly ending with that why does it even matter? The punish is a one framer and she has a string ender that leads to KB or sends full screen depending on circumstances so legit not really worth it to be punishing 10/10 or even 5/10 anyway especially online lol.
Down 1 is one frame faster than down 4 which is safe so the obvious choice is down 4 of the two...range is comparable as well.
The comments just don't hold any pertinent water whatsoever in the context of her actual problems. Choosing to play her in a sub optimal way is not the developer's faults. Personal choice of the players.
