I think it has its uses. Yea you loose life but you can still use it at beginning of round or to close out match and in the corner it really shines but the option to use it is there and I'm still gonna use it I just feel the extra damage is worth it in certain situations.Wonder if anyone is going to use it again now. Since the damage got lowered I hear nothing but complaints.
I'd rather use my bars for the db1's or kanoballs.

Johnny Cage can't punish DB1 since his fastest move is 8 frames (his D1) so you can abuse it in blockstrings to technically keep yourself safe.

I switch around starting with d4, jump back and air ball if they also jumped, walk back or backdash, block or crouch block, run in and grab, and I almost always backdash agaisnt takeda, f/t and kung jin.What do you guys use as opening move? Yes that is correct, I was referring to his f4,bf3 start. f4db1 is denifitely safer than f4bf3.@Jupe
Sorry if I misunderstood your post but F4 is safer on block than DB1, I believe. Definitely cancel into DB1 if you can hit-confirm F4 in time.

Yeah he probably would be A tier. 50/50s (METERLESSLY NEUTRAL /PLUS ON BLOCK 50/50s at that), great damage both meterless (since he gets a meterless launcher in this variation) and with meter, general safety on pretty much everything, decent pressure, flash parry, great footsie tools.
