In those videos (please sorry if i could be heared as a "ofensive" to someone) i see that there are not big deal... i mean the only one that "medium" know what the hell is doing is shock... the rest is so.. simple:S no big combos, no big technical moves, no big damage, no...nothing, and even shock use Random Select xD that was so easy to you man xD please don´t get mad with me is just what i think, peace

well i havent watched the matches yet but the point here is that most people dont realize the actual point of those vids. Shock didnt speculate with them neither pretended to be the best or something using them, its just he go out of his way to run a tournament and paid someone money to record it so everyone has vids to watch regardless of the content.

its different to watch a tournament footage with various players on an arcade machine and pick up few online matches out of 100 played in that night with the same persons and publish them. i mean you cant expect a combo video from each versus game you have on a real tourny.

again i havent watched them yet so they might be not so great like the matches from eccx for example. but the idea is to keep everyone interested into the game's competetive scene. :wink:

You were the only person there just based off tactics alone that I am sure would beat me. Everyone else, not so much. I know what to do, I'm not some random scrub and just watching those matches I was disappointed because if I lived closer I'd go to every tournament. Besides it's not like I can't get matches out of you

Hmm, sounds like you want to come to tournaments.

You'd definitely have fun vs Joe's Human Smoke (iloveu). He doesn't do the biggest combos but he's got determination. Summoning would also give you a run for your money with his serious characters. Rob and Phi really only play during tournaments, I know they play online sometimes. Busta needs to stick to Kano!

I'd love to, but I live so far away from where most of the UMK3 tournaments are held and I can't just whip up 200 bucks for a flight and hotel to NJ or NY.

Yeah, if I had the money and time (to get away from family) I'd come to any and every tourney on a cab.

The big tournaments are twice a year generally and one of them is at a hotel, 3 miles from an airport. I think saving up for one tournament, say, $400 combined expenses for a flight, cab, possibly having to get your own room for $60 but generally you can room with someone for a lot less, entry fee and food, in one year (about $1.10 a day) is more than possible for anyone out of their teens to do. The desire has to be there. I hope to one be able to sponsor, fly out and lodge players on my own

Birkin I can't promise the gameplay is going to be that great, it's more playable on XBL against someone in Canada than it is on the normal Kaillera conditions, but it might be better on LAN on Kaillera than XBL's default scenario. Let me know when you are on so we can get some games in regardless.
