Who cares? Base roster is 100% better than MKX's and only slightly worse than MK9. Yeah I'd love for human Smoke to be in this game but who gives a shit? I fucking love the Terminator and Ash Williams, too though it's unlikely that I'll stop playing my boy Scorpion in favor of them.

Also I doubt that Spawn is a major selling point. I read that shit in the 90's and stopped shortly after that like everyone else. Nobody has given a fuck about that character except for a small and loyal fanbase for 15 years now.

My guess they put him in because the fuckers making this game are around my age and really love their old comic books and Evil Dead movies. I'm cool with that.

Nrs gave us a full mk game with a full story, modes, original charaters etc. Whatever they do after charging for aditional content, that you DON'T have to buy, is their business. Guests lure in new people, who may not be fans of the franchise. Also, there's also potential for kp2, so chill.

I remember back in the day where you had to accept what you get and that's it. The video game update feature really spoiled peoples mindsets.
The dlc selection for this game has been fine if you don't like the selection don't buy it. It's really quite that simple.
NRS adding dc characters into mk and mk characters added into injustice started since the first injustice game. They have the licenses to do whatever they want with those characters. Only they know but they could be setting up for another mk vs dc game.

I paid a $100 so you DAMN RIGHT I got a right in the production of this game and what I want or DON'T want in it and if I don't want Joker's dumbass in the game, I will rescind my game and have my money back or the very least, I'm going to complain about it and critique it heavily until someone pays attention to it.

Last original characters that were cool were honestly Ashrah, Hotaru, Dairou, and Havik. Those 4 and MAYBE Liu Kang 2.0 (Shujinko) were done pretty well.
