I finally had a chance to listen to this podcast, and was happy to hear you guys defend the game for the most part. I really like Injustice 2; I think it’s a fantastic game.

Also, you said that "imagine if we waited before nerfing Deadshot, maybe there was just some hidden aspect in 30 characters that we hadn't found that had the answer to his zoning". That's exactly the point, if we waited even longer, maybe we could've find a way to deal with Deadshot without nerfing his Wrist Canon.

Like yes, I'll admit and I think I have, I see the point being made that there are solutions to some stuff that may have been found but it's been over a year and some really basic stuff still doesn't have solutions, whether by design i.e Black Adam has no wakeup cause he does well in basically every other area, or character flaws.

IJ2 would be like one of the worst balanced FG's of last year if NRS decided to wait all this time just because there "might've" been a solution for Deadshot zoning. obv not for every character like Bane was destined to get fucked by that zoning but characters like Fate has to literally rushdown Deadshot pre-patch.

I see your point and agree with it but I also think there needs to be a line in the sand where enough is enough. Yes people need to level up more, we've literally been talking about in the Bane threads about how people still don't know how to actually play the Bane MU, but by the same token I think you need to see there's a distinction between needing to level up and the game actually having flaws.

IJ2 would be a non-existent game if Deadshot still was still pre-patch level good. No other zoner would be played at a high level outside of character loyalty i.e stubbornness basically, he beat every zoner in the game at zoning.

That only proves my point even further.

I think it proves that you might be a little biased towards thinking people aren't good enough over the game sometimes needing balance. No shade

I never said not even once that IJ2 is perfect without any flaws, no game is perfect. Also, I've never said that you never need to patch the game, but the fact of the matter is, IJ2 is already super balanced. Both MKX and IJ2 are two most balanced games NRS has ever done without question, so giving a patch now could be too much, no matter how good it might seems in theory for some people. Also I didn't say that people aren't good enough in the game, they can be really good and still not find new stuff on their own, and think that this is it until another player finds new stuff. No matter how good they are, each player is gonna have their own limit of creativity for a char, stage, mechanic etc, in order to discover new stuff.

As I've said in the past, NRS purposely didn't give many patches for IJ2, because they wanted to wait and see what the community would find. And it seems that they have just hit the nail right there.

A good balance isn't about to make sure that ebery char would have all the options for any situation, it is to make sure the chars will be on the same level of power. So for Black Adam, if he doesn't have any good wakeups but he's still good in any other category, that means giving him a wakeup will make him too strong. I'm not saying you said that it's perfect, I'm saying that like using the Deadshot example, it's an example of how NRS listening to the community complaining was actually a good idea even though it hadn't been very long into the game's life.

Even like release Aquaman was pretty similar case, he got nerfed pretty quick smart without a lot of time spent labbing by the community but what he does still works the same it did before, it's just way less damage and meter on everything. So a good change, even though it didn't require a lot of labbing to realise.

About the examples of Deadshot and Aquman, that's exactly what Hippo and Slips said in their podcast. Just like that you rely on those 2 examples that NRS have listened to the community, a ton of people rely on past examples for NRS to patch the game, because they think that if they will ask for too long and too loud, they will patch the game in their favor, which means they abuse NRS' kindness to listen to the community, and that can only hurt the game and eventually the scne and the players. And that's why you have to be very careful with listening to the community because people can always use that for the own personal benefit raither then the benefit of the game. You might not have those intentions but rather good ones, but that won't be the case for others.

And as for the example of Donnie, M2Dave and REO and the rest have said in this very podcast that anyone can find something for him or do something with him any day and then they can turn him to be really good. Same thing for Raiden. Raph BTW is not bad at all, and hell, even Raiden and Donnie aren't bad. And BTW, Kompetitor found some nice tech for Raiden that Shujinkydink have posted on his channel, that's because he labbbed Raiden and found it for him. So this can be true for anyone, even for Cyborg, Deadshot and all of them.

You are right about one thing, that there needs to be a line in the sand. But no disrespect, I truly think that you are on the "too quickly" end of the spectrum.

I don't get why people have a problem w injustice 2, it's a fun game n well balanced, and I think the mechanics are well designed too. Armor launchers don't really think those should come back, it makes the meta of the game dumb tbh

Just needs a better experience when it comes to audio and visuals. Also better looking moves. A lot of moves are just different versions of moves we’ve seen before. So if gear comes back in the next MK cool moves shouldnt be locked away. Maybe brutalities and fatalities instead and also I don’t like the fact that esports is what kept this game alive. I believe it should be the icing on the cake rather than the cake.
Other than that the game is great! Great balance, customizations, the best story mode for a FG I’ve played in recent years and great support.

I don't think the premise of the title was to make people hate the game, but to bring up the conversation as to why people hate the game. I mean, c'mon, lets address the elephant in the room. It's OBVIOUS IJ2 is probably the least liked fighting game currently. You can tell by viewership, tournament representation at tournaments, EVO entrants, even from this site dedicated to NRS games. So saying the title is clickbait to garner attention of doing the community an injustice is not true. It's the game Injustice doing the community an injustice. All pun intended
