That’s funny you play atom because he’s my backup character between the two characters they cover the whole roster except maybe black manta cyborg vs brainiac 6-4 Cyborg, cyborg vs Catwoman 5-5, cyborg vs hellboy might be a 7-3 for hellboy, cyborg vs Robin is 6-4 cyborg cyborg vs they flash is 5-5 I would much rather play cyborg against the flash then use atom
I have been looking for an alternative zoning character against The Flash. Atom can win, but the difference in damage output is enormous and frightening to play against. The Flash does almost three times as much damage as Atom. LOL. Also, the best Flash players know that sonic pound in footsies is very strong against Atom because of its ability to hop over stomp and d+3. I am hoping Cyborg offers a more effective traditional zoning gameplay.

I think Atom may go even with Black Manta, but I have not fought any exceptional ones. Stomp beats teleport and d+3 low-profiles all of his strings except b+2,2 so you primarily have to focus on the air.

Back to Cyborg, which match ups do you think he loses aside from Hellboy?

I think he loses to black manta starfire atom darkseid maybe Batman could be 5-5 though sub zero maybe super girl but that could be 5-5 as well

I try to stay more Mobile with cyborg and tend to run away and zone instead of standing my ground and zoning idk if that’s traditional or not but that’s how I play him meterburn roll and grapple is hard to deal with

That's one of things I realized watching your gameplay. A lot harder to consistently hit a moving target, need to work on my movement more, and utilize grapple in strings as well.
 
Maaaan flocko! Loved your gameplay, i started thinking the key to cyborg was just his setups, plus frames and being able to do iafbs. I saw alot more depth in how you played him good stuff man! Congrats

@pretty flocko when you were using reversal PF to blow up Sonic's Starfire shenanigans, those were just major reads right? Like Sonic could of just ended the string and then punish your PF, right? Or were those reversals some kind of OS you can tell us about?

Yeah I knew he had no idea I could do reversal db2 out of it they were just reads that would be dope if some one could find an os for it though
 
@pretty flocko That was some truly inspirational stuff watching you play. That full screen zoning was beautiful to watch. Do you have any tips on spacing and timing of NB, TA, and when to MBNB?
Basically straight shot and 23 will catch forward dash any time you make a read that some one will jump and shoot them out of the air always set up dd3 once you have a dd3 on the stage it’s time to guess whether they will forward dash jump or meterburn roll if they forward dash do a straight shot if they jump do a straight air shot if they meterburn roll do 23 also mb nanoblaster in the air can be used for plus frames once you land you can shoot another in most match ups if imo cyborg is all about reading how your opponent will approach and stopping that approach with reads

Random question: If you're in a position where a standing 2 is likely to hit, in general would it be better to go with a 23 string, or try a 2xxSD?
