I feel like they'll have to explain how Fate escaped the void, how Swamp Thing got out of hell, how Scarecrow is undead now, shit like that. They probably won't explain it in the game but maybe in the IJ2 comic.
MMH is burned to death by Supes while strangling Wonder Woman to death. Supes burned her so bad she was out of commission for months. Couple weeks ago, Tom Taylor gave him a "not dead, just very badly burned" retcon and cited his ending.

I don't know why any of these are an issue. We have no idea about Scarecrow, could be explained in a number of ways. Zatanna was non story DLC. Edit: So Dr. Fate "Dissapears in the void". Easy comeback for a magic character in a comic book story, explains Ollie as well. To be honest I don't remember with Swamp Thing, does he actually die? John Stewart may not appear in story.
The issue isn't HOW dead people come back to life. The issue is dead people coming back to life makes the story shitty.

You complained about the comics not mattering as if they weren't canon, then you posted a bunch of characters who were given ambiguous comicbook "deaths", and Zatanna. But I guess post-goal post move we are talking about how characters coming back in general is an issue, to which I would say Injustice has done a solid job of keeping some deaths ambiguous and explaining how characters come back, which often isn't the case in comicbook stories where this sort of thing is extremely common.

I agree that he's a clown, Scarecrow isn't a waste of a slot but imo all the characters in the post you quoted except Weather Wizard are waaaay more badass than Scarecrow.

Are they badass ? Sure. Waste of a slot? Definitely. No need for KF cause Captain Cold & likely Sub Zero. No reason for Deathstroke because Deadshot. Etrigan is meh and honestly Scarecrow might turn out to be lit asf. His gameplay has tons of potential.
Please do not call Deathstroke a waste of a slot because of Deadshot. All they do similarly is shoot guns, Deadshot is no where near the martial artist Deathstroke is nor skilled swordsman. Along with Deathstroke having enhanced capabilities. The two characters are very much different.
Bruh, Etrigan would be Grundy-levels of hype in the dialogue department. Scarecrow is booty, his new powers are the only thing making him not a waste now. Weather Wizard has so much creative potential too.
