So i am sick to death of out playing somebody for 3/4 of a round just to guess wrong once and be put into a blender and die. This march patch better fix this shit. I dont even get mad anymore the game just isnt that good at the moment. I get no satisfaction from winning and i learn nothing from loosing.

juri pressure is so annoying to try to get out of when in the corner none of my fastest moves reach her to stop her from getting charges. She can make her overhead safe with a charge?

Rashid is the truth, he is insanely fun.

And yeah LP mixer is sort of a mixup.. you can do it and not mash and be -2, or you can mash it out and it'll hit several more times, but your -ashitload on block.. you always have to decide if ex is coming after, or if you should throw a poke and take his turn away.

Rashid is nuckin futs and has a ton of shit. St.rh is a corpse hop you can manually time for ambiguous left/rights on wakeup sometimes, his wall bounce crossup is apparently unblockable cause I always land it, and GET HIT BY IT, and I know the fuxkin setup. Everyone expects typical Rashid corner pressure, so you can mindfuck them by empty jumping over, putting yourself in the corner, then one cr.lk which they will still probably block (if not I usually just tick throw them back) but after the blocked cr.lk you immediately jump, wall cling, crossup. The single cr.lk gives you the spacing you need for the walk dive crossup and the whole sequence is so odd it catches people off guard. I use it when I want to steal a super important round. Once they've seen it twice or so it'll stop working. Lol.

So can someone explain what made S1 top tiers like Chun-Li and R. Mika now not so top tiers?
Like did they get significant nerfs or other players just got buffed?
From what I read about S1, Bison was shit, but now I see on here he is very common online and great?

I really dislike the regular mixer to ex mixer mixup that Rashid gets. On the surface, it seems like a really bad risk/reward for Rashid, given that Rashid get only gets 150 damage if it hits and you get crush countered and lose a bar if it's blocked. However, that doesn't account for the great corner carry of the move and Rashids strong corner game. I'd argue the risk/reward is actually pretty reasonable for him against characters with poor defensive options. Not good enough to actually win persistently but Rashids who are willingly to go ham with this can easily random you out.

As the defender you can avoid the mixup with OS jump tech but then you give up your turn when you should be at advantage.

Overall, it's not overpowered at all but it sure is annoying.

When people hit me with that I just feel like we aren't playing the same game. Same with karins that do orochi into ex rassenha, or uriens that do ex tackle into ex headbutt.

Yeah agreed. I think Rashids is the most annoying version though.

If Karins hits you with hers she probably doesn't get any threatening oki afterward, unlike Rashid.

And against Urien, you can poke back with a move that recovers in less than 12 frames and you don't have to take the ex head butt mixup.

I have yet to think of a good answer for Rashid, if I guess wrong I often end up getting bodied in the corner sadly.

Well, what HELPED to make them so powerful were tools that were relatively safe that they could more or less use at Thier leisure (and spam them as well) that carried amazing risk/reward for them.

So Chun had instant air legs. She still does granted but they are negative on block now.. A Chun player could get in your face and pressure with anything she wanted and get throw after throw after throw and offense after offense after offense because of IA legs. They were safe, they totally avoided a HUGE number of buttons, would shit on throw techs and could lead in to a combo that while not insanely high damaging or anything was still respectable. She could just mash them out and they were extremely difficult to deal with. If you KNEW they were coming, towards the end of the season players were reacting to them, some characters could check her, bit not everyone and even then it was a risk. Chuns offense once it got rolling, was completely bullshit. Add in her other tools (st.fp , a reversal, solid fireball, etc) and she was just oppressive.

Mika had Whip and her corner-anywhere bounce on top of fast gap closers that could.be spaced out to be safe and of.i remember correctly, plus. Once a Mika was.in whip range they could literally spam the move until it worked. Even at high level play Mika's would do this, because why not? One touch and she could put you in her blender where one additional wrong guess was absolutely a stun and most likely the round. You could CC a Mika and full punish and the risk/reward was usually STILL in her favor. Couple.yhat with her bonkers mix-ups, massive straight damage, huge ex throw damage and range and.other tools and you had a character that once she got in (and she had excellent tools to get in.. a gap closers on a GRAPPLER that leaves you plus is a nightmare) she could do whatever she wanted and even if you were ready for not and actively countering it, she could just mash through because the risk/reward was monumentally difficult to tilt out of her favor.

Throw nerfs were important in timing things down as well but I can't remember what Chun and Mika got after reg throws so I can't speak too much on that aspect.

As to Bison, he got a 3f button and various other buffs including a walk speed buff (yes, as slow as he moves, that speed used.to be even.worse) . Bison is very good this season, very, and he's super fun.

I legit worry that Rashid is going to be nerfed in March. In the US I don't see MUCH stink about him but Japan is to the point of putting him in top three discussions..

I have finally god damn found a character I legit WANT to play.. meh. I know im prematurely whining, but if Capcom nerfs him in to the lower echelons again Im done with this game. Or kills his general feel. Just like I worry Urien is going to be nerfed into a one dimensional boring character, I feel like Rashid could see the same thing. Cr.fp will end up fucking -6 or something. Meh.

Not everyone has a move that comes out and recovers in less than 12. You can do it on wakeup vs him but not in neutral at 0.

None of her charges hit OH. Her overhead she does a small flip and his you with one leg.

You're probably talking about her MK charge (the middle charge icon), where she hits with her heel and it has the special move trail. That's -4 but she cancel any charge into another charge so if she ends in fireball she's -2.

Juri pressure game isn't OD like a Balrog or Cammy you but she can definitely get an offense going. It's probably just a lack of knowledge and you playing dhalsim making it harder than usual

Yeah, Juri pressure is kinda MU knowledge specific I think. She can do a lot of stuff, but most of it has specific counters. A lot of it isnt 'real' in that sense.. Dhalsim is his own particular world though, so I dont know what his answers are.

This times one million. I feel like 'maintenance' is when they reboot the early 2000's Compaq Presario desktop with the the 15in. CRT display that serves as primary server for the CFN network. All the spy and adware from years of the dev staff downloading and watching hentai and loli porn makes it take FOREVER to reboot.

The only thing that I see after every maintenance is there are no communication errors when playing (sending match data to the servers etc.) No differences in match quality.

I'm not sure if that even happens any more though. I am still getting constant communication errors after the latest "maintenance"
