Dude those frame buffs on Sim are such a huge fucking deal. Like I don't even play and I already know that's gonna give a lot of characters problems. I can see the Sim matchup getting a bit messy for Birdie too.

It will be to almost the same extent for sure. Birdie has at least some gimmicky ways to close distance. But for gief you micro walk or jump. And now before u even try that, Sim has 2 extra frames to throw more limbs. Lul

I just cant fathom why gief is still at 1050 if urien belongs at 1025. Hell... most of the cast should be 1000 in that case, minimum. He has the same amount of reversal as anyone else. He has a cross up. Chargeable projectile. Awesome vtrig that almost always nets dmg. At least his Vskill is kinda bleh.

Edit: I should preface this with I am pretty okay with all the gief stuff and happy with the bison stuff. But the urien changes, especially, seem insane.

These Urien buffs are fucking juicy. Charged s.HP being +5 on block. Wew lad

Aegis reflector went from 10 dmg to 20.

I thoroughly disagree. I was a downer on my main from March til September, but the more I played him and the more the meta developed it became clear to me that he's on the higher end of the tier list. Upper mid at the least, imo. Rashid was wasn't as intuitive as other characters at launch and it took a lot of time for players to actualize his playstyle. He was just hitting his stride this past Fall, moving into the Winter. I think the lower tiered perception from the early meta lingered and he got away with murder balance wise. I believe he's going to be top 5 now.

My final pre-Season 2 tier list looked like this:

S: Cammy, Chun, Ken
S-: Ryu, Necalli, Karin, Mika
A: Rashid, Guile, Nash, Urien
B: Claw, Birdie, Alex, Ibuki
B-: Laura, Zangief, Dhalsim, Juri, Balrog
C: M.Bison, FANG

It's all so very confusing.
Sim was A tier in S1 most likely, but there were like three people on the planet playing him at that level.

Nash got shit on. So much for that.

Guile looks solid, bordering on strong moving in to S2. Happy about that. Karin seems to have lost a metric shit ton of damage and such across the board, but a lot of people lost a lot of damage, so *shrug* maybe it will normalize out, otherwise I think she came through pretty well.

Looks like my initial pick of Guile and Akuma (if Nash got shit on, and he did) will be what I move forward in to S2 with. Karin and Urien are on my 'to watch' list, along with Juri (I just really like Juri).. if Urien ends up broken-tier, Im playing him. Simple as that. I am a tier whore from now one.

Anyway I can't complain about the balance changes. Im disappointed there isn't more quality of life updates

Guile players are gonna have to work even harder in season 2 such an honest character man
