That's how i know you don't play as or against Kenshi. If you're fighting Kenshi inside b+3 range (which is shorter than ALL of Takeda's ranges) you're already crouching or crouch blocking. The second you see him do anything other than shin kick you, let go of down and start thinking about your favorite punish. It doesn't matter what he does, OS, flurry, Karma, any other string, if he does any thing besides b+3 (or d+4, but that's nothing special) remain blocking and stand up. It is now your turn, unless he throws in which case you just got Kenshi'd. But that's Kenshi's entire pressure game. B+3 gambles and throws. The inclusion of yet another move that is slower than b+3 and is defeated by high block changes nothing whether it launches or not.
But don't take my word for it. Go in training mode, set up a gauntlet of b+3,2s and OS'. Corner yourself and let Kenshi rip. See how many actually land.
Edit: Possessed has d,f+4 (and d,b+4) which DOES allow for the "Takeda-style" 50/50s you're talking about. I assume Kenjutsu has something similar, but I don't play it.
