Question - Sektor Is Sektor Lacking in Comparison to His Counterparts?

Hahaha..what makes you think they are not? They all have similar strings minus the unique ones. If you are a Kitana player, I doubt you should have any trouble with your powerful fans or glaives.

CSZ has no whiff recovery on his dive kick and it's an overhead. Sektor and his amazing hit stun on his up rockets. Cyrax and his hard to blockables. Luckily their strings have gaps but they need lots of balancing.

Coming from a cyber kano player and now playing sektor casue of cyber nerfs ill say this. People are actually scared to move agaisnt me now. As kano i used footsies and knives to check people and im still doing the same thing with sektor but on a new level. Missles and rockets hurt. If i put missles on my self and you ran in? Free combo. Am i down and need to come back? Ex up missle and run in 50-50. Ppl ducking straight missle? Ex missle and you can still convert from full screen.in terms of play style hes way more straightforward than the other robots. You dont have to see what range your at for a bomb placement like cyrax. Dont have to check your stamina as much as smoke for the phase and phase pressure set up. Hes def not lacking. Hes just isnt as crazy as the other robots

^This. Fought a good sektor last night who was doing some very good zoning and pressure game. Even if I attempted to run in to get my pressure game started knowing those rockets were possibly gonna hit me, I had to guess right or wrong in the process of where those rockets were gonna end up and stop my own pressure out of fear being blown up. If I was wrong, bye bye health. He's definitely scary currently if they have no intention of ever toning him down.

He's definitely very strong. All it took for me to realize this was a 10-minute video I just watched of Nikolass versus Shady's Tempest Lao. My first time ever seeing Sektor in action, too (haven't bothered to use Tri-Borg at all yet).

ye sektor has two armor moves. i know cyrax only has armor on wakeup but its annoying me people saying/complaining about smoke not having armor, his ex smoke away/forward is invincible like ethereals ex fade,fades prop better but still, thats near better than armor in a way since you cant crush it

No. He's S Tier and one of the best characters in the game currently. He's just as good as Cyber Sub-Zero, Alien, etc.

Just because there's no crazy tech threads on Sektor doesn't mean he's not as busted as the other DLC. Sektor is just one of the easier characters to play and bit more simplistic in how effective he is.

DLC busted in what way? Like really good? I think it's all due to unfamiliarity. If the original cast can have 50/50s and ridiculous unblockable set ups that get looped into oblivion for shit tons of damage, the DLC can too. Although that cyrax shit looks pretty crazy I must admit.

His neutral game is pretty sweet, he's got 5050s he can make safe at the cost of a bar, has teleport to counter zone.

Overall he's really good IMO.

Teleport is a bit slow. People throw out projectiles, I tele, they recover and block punish me.

There is a thing called wake up window ie if you time your jump right you will not only avoid but punish a lot of WUs. You can't do that vs sektor

Today some friends and I played and I fought cyber sub. Don't ever let him get you in the corner cuz you're not getting out with his ridiculous overhead / low bomb setup.

All he has to do is setup a bomb, do his overhead kick string and boom, you're frozen in a continuous loop.

Imho Triborg is top 1. Smoke seems the most honest variation and he is incredibly good as well lol.

Chances are he will get some nerfs, we'll see what happens

They don't lead to 40% like sektor for one bar like Sektor. Scorpion probably gets 31 off of a EX TELE, Kitana probably like 25-30% off of a fan, Mileena you need to have the opponent jump if you don't want to spend a bar.for a full combo. And Sub you need to freeze with either that slow ass ice ball or easy to take care of ice clone...

Not to mention how he is close to untouchable after he uses up rocket. Even if you react fast and punish him on recovery using a move that changes position, chances are a rocket will still hit you and you are dead lol. It's insane
