I like the idea of The Saltines League, but I remember it went wrong when they did that with KI.

The game couldn't recognize who the Rage Quitter was, so everyone just ended up in there.

KI JAIL- man .. those were the days .. i remember at one point it was actually better to be in jail cause matches connected hella quicker. lol

Ahhh i do remember that loll still makes me laught honestly, tho im going on about this but i dont really care, its sad sure, but the reality of things really comes down to i beat guys in Super and Ultra silver all the time that i have no actual clue how they even got there to begin with and then go lose to Bronze players that honestly where the best matchs iv had so far in this game, go figure han!

Im a bit baffled on how Zangief lariat does not combo on crouched character unless you are overlapping. Is there any other kind of combo to do meterless?

Hey everyone. There is a Google spreadsheet and a v frames app (that might be android only) for frame data.

Start doing lp pause light SPD. His SPD reachs just a bit a further than st.MP.

The only thing with that is that it is not guaranteed damage, I guess I will force the block to start the SPD setups.

Yesh but you don't have anything from afar. Either more buttons or SPD. I'd rather have the armor, air spd and vacuum. I guess capcom saw him being too powerul with green hand.

Yeah that is true. I just hate making the right read but seeing that they are crouching after my jumping HK hits so I end up doing headbutt, s.lk then that they press a low for freeze so I can SPD them or cancel into V Trigger to suck them back in.

Calling it btw. Rashid's destined for high or top-tier. I don't think there's a character with more potential dirt than him... FANG, Bison, Sim and Laura are all in that same boat, but I think his potential dirt quotient is off the f-cking charts. F'real...
I wanted to play Rashid from the start, but I don't think his wakeup game is very strong at all. Overall it seems like he could struggle there. How is his normal damage output? Seemed low to me as well.

First tournament today. We'll see how it goes. If I go 0-2, at least it's at a bar so there's whiskey. Last time there was a tournament at a bar at thehadou aka Rocksteady;'s wedding, I didn't even remember who I played against.

Does anyone have thoughts on the PC version?

I don't have a ps4 but my computer is above the requirements. I'm just weary about pc fighting games lol.

His only invincible move is ex.Spinning Mixer. It doesn't have much invulnerability and is sort of free to well spaced / timed jump-ins --- if the opponent places it right they can outright beat the move as it runs out of invincibility, or angle their attack so his reversal will whiff. Also, it's only 8 frames so it's easily safe-jumped. With that said, between a somewhat workable reversal in ex.Spinning Mixer, his v-reversal, and varied wake-up timings, he does just enough to survive on wakeup. His damage is low... until he corners you, where he can easily perform 330 damage combos for one meter.... but yeah, his midscreen damage potential is one of the lowest in the game.

Those two weaknesses are his only notable ones... His footsies are so-so, but they get the job done, so I wouldn't call that a weakness.

The reason why his damage output being low isn't that big of a deal is because he has the best corner carry potential in the game - damage isn't the point in his design. You can easily force the opponent to travel across 80% of the screen a crush counter combo and get a free dash on their wake-up to place their back against the wall --- we're talking wall to wall corner carry. Also, his mobility and tool-set makes it incredibly hard to corner Rashid - he's designed to be slippery. His v-reversal takes him out of the corner and puts the opponent there, his grounded ex.divekick switches sides on hit and block...and his wall-jumps and his tornadoes + jumping v-skill allow him to escape the corner as well.

When Rashid corners you it's terrifying. His frame-traps and pressure strings and tick throw game when cornered is probably the best in the game. ex.Tornado cancels become the thing of nightmares.

Combine the above with his v-trigger and it all sort of adds up. His v-trigger stalks the opponent and forces them into the corner. When cornered it's probably the best setup tool in the game as there are numerous crossup and high low mix-ups and basically free-pressure options. It also makes his mobility god-tier temporarily and boosts his damage output considerably, as well as turning his best pokes into combo tools (s.Forward, for example). On top of that stuff it also has even more unlimited potential; some cool stuff that the tornado does: activates proximity blocking near the opponent which disables the ability to walk backwards (the potential for brokenness here is huge), gives him new juggle options, makes unsafe normals like sweep safe, etc.

I'd argue his design is very simple effective, with lots of dirt. Corner the opponent with his numerous tools to do so, and RTSD.

970 and running at high, everything is smooth. better performance I think compared to USF4 PC and MKX. haven't checked the option next to it. though I have not touched online yet lol.
it's great to window mode fighting games again. watch Halo/SF5 then window mode SF5 :)

Neutral jumping against karin is sacrificing space to something you can react to, block and punish. If you have a read and want a full combo, go for it.
Full combo being whatever you can get off of a jab unless your medium is 4 frames lol. Neutral jump on read blows it up way harder.

Yeah good points especially about the damage output. Hopefully his issues don't hold him back in the long run because I really like the character overall. His defense is just the main thing that kind of worries me. I love his v-trigger and trapping/pressuring off it. Looks fun to mess with.
