Come On Die Young
My top 5 anime slams:

5. Battle for Everyone's Slams

When it's time to get hype and shoot the song really shows its emotional message. The contrast between the beautiful falsetto and Barkley's slam proves just how powerful these dunks are.

4. Guren no Slamiya

The DJ truly turned it up in this powerful representation of hope and willpower.

3. Slam of the Northstar

Begins with a beautiful welcoming to the Space Jam, picks up the intensity as we're reminded to come slam, but only if we want to jam. Makes you feel fine.

2. Blumendunkz

This song perfectly exemplifies Ragyo's beauty and class when she shows herself to the plebs, as they shout "nah nah nah nah nah nah" in perfect harmony to signify her glory. Ragyo would never hesitate to shoot, we only have this to cheer her on.

1. God's Slammage

It's hard to properly describe this song in words. We're first brought to this amazing and beautiful message welcoming us to come on and slam, shortly followed by the even more powerful welcoming to the jam. Tears begin to dribble down my face when the song takes an emotional turn, telling us to work that body, but reminding us not to hurt nobody. A true and pure representation of the human spirit. I'm not fucking around it made me cry.

Still training...
To make it easier for myself, I'll stick to shows not yet mentioned:

RideBack
Ballet dancer turned motocross prodigy fights an authoritarian state.

Jormungand
Child soldier running missions as part of an arms dealer's crew.

Heroic Age
Humanity fighting with intergalactic aliens that want to destroy them before some prophecy is fulfilled.

Black Butler (but for the love of God don't watch the sequel)
Rich orphan makes a pact with a demon who serves as his butler.

A Certain Magical Index
Kids, technology, magic, that sort of thing.

Best Doomsday in the world
Steins;Gate is dope, AoT is merely okay, just a standard shounen, Sneran Kagura manga is dope, never bothered with the anime. But when I see praises for Naruto, Bleach, Elfen leid, and Sword Art Online y'all niggas got some questionable taste lol.

Man y'all probably can't wait for Akame ga Kill to come out, probably gonna see it as the next Shakespeare lol.
To be fair Elfen Leid had an amazing plot idea. And I really wish the actual plot would've backed it up a little bit more because the first episode, and the last few episodes were absolutely godlike. I also wish they would've left her powers unexplained because the actual explanation made them seem pretty lame.

AoT also had an amazing plot idea from the beginning. And I really wish they would've stuck with that plot since the first 5 episodes were absolutely perfect until they decided to go off on some random tangent and leave the main plot unexplored. But that's my only gripe with that show other than the back story is pretty ass for the most part. But you can't really expect back story from a show that kills characters every 2 minutes.

Faded Dreams V

Retired June 2012. Unretired June 2013.
Attack on Titan is awesome, but no one can deny that the pacing is pretty bad. I mean, the main plot involves discovering Eren's dad's stash of titan-sized dildos in his basement, but will they ever?

Akromaniac27

Ready to lose your head?
AoT's epic ness was fucking ridiculous. I swear my heart gave out like 15 times while watching it as it was being aired.

That aside, I'm relatively new to animes(though I watched several that have been mentioned), but has anyone seen Claymore? Very first anime I've watched a few years back. The manga is ongoing and the anime is only one season, and despite the story changing in the anime towards the end, I loved it. The story was pretty unique and the fighting...like who doesn't like an all female super saiyan roster???

Neon Genesis Evangelion, 26 eps- Watching this show is like watching no other. Once you watch it, you will never get the same experience you had from the first watch.

A mecha. A comedy. A psychological nightmare. One of the greatest, yet one of the worst.

Never watch while depressed or clinically depressed.

Ergo Proxy, 23 eps - Not as good as some animes, but a decent watch, also have not seen anyone recommend it yet.

Show mainly follows Re-L and her journey on discovering what proxies are, and the secrets they locked away.

Seriel experiments lain, 13 eps - A short series of only 13 episodes about a girl who becomes a sort of computer genius, but instead sacrifices her social life.

All three of these animes are in the psychological genre.

Other notable great animes

Cowboybebop
FLCL
Samuria champloo
Ghost in the shell.

I'll just list a bunch of anime if anyone is curious to watch them (i'll try to include some details on genre)

ONE PIECE (shounen/action/adventure) best anime point blank period IMO. Japanese sales agree with me. (not at all obvious by my tag and avatar :D ) Oh and if you only watch dubbed anime and hate it because of watching it on Cartoon Network when it aired years back please do me a favor and rewatch the newer funimation dub (which is on Toonami now) because 4kids did a horrible job!

Yu Yu Hakusho (action) - classic

DBZ (action) - classic

Naruto (action) - pretty good until recently :/

Bleach (action) - not counting anything past Aizen.

Code Geass (action/mech/drama) - Spectacular

Hunter x Hunter 2011 version (action/adventure) - Wonderful and still ongoing

Attack on Titan (dark/action/drama) - Good if you like action and don't mind dark stuff, ongoing.

Steins;Gate (Science/Mystery/Drama) - Great plot development/twists

Death Note (Dark/Drama/Suspense) - L and Light make the show as the two main characters.

Inuyasha - (Action) - Classic.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (Action/Drama/etc) - Watch this if you have to pick between it and the original, sticks closer to the anime and is longer than your typical 25-26 anime but not as long as some popular shounens ie One Piece, Bleach, Naruto. Has everything.

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (Action) - Anime is short but still good, manga ongoing.

Soul Eater (Action/Darkish) - Anime over but manga ongoing I believe

Blue Excorcist (Action) - Anime over but manga ongoing

School Rumble (Comedy/Romance) - Hilarious love triangle show

Ouran High School Host Club (Comedy) - Takes a while to get into but really funny!

Fruits Basket (Slice of life/comedy) - My wife's personal favorite (not that guys can't enjoy it) INB4 your wife likes anime? Yes she's awesome.

Fairy Tail (action) - pretty straightforward shounen especially with plot, but if you enjoy that it's not bad.

Trigun (action/drama) - Classic.

Sword Art Online (Action/Drama/Romance) - 1st arc is REALLY good second one is pretty good since there's not as much action, ongoing.

Special A (comedy/romancish) - pretty funny

Rurouni Kenshin (action/drama) - classic

That's all I can think of at the moment. :)

I feel like bleach has picked it up big time with the thousand year blood war arc, crap ridiculously intense and interesting. I really dnt know why some think naruto has fell off, the manga is just getting more interesting and the final villain ( now kaguya lol) is completely demoralizing and OP, which means it wont be a quick ending. But hey, to each their own of course.

Their both standard shounen fare with very little character growth or actual interstesting plot twist outside of "Ah you thought it was X, BUT IT WAS I DIO" without being dope like Jojo's.

Little character growth? U definitely got a different perspective on the shows. The plot twists are more than fine as well. Both have lasted over 10 years for a reason. Many anime/ manga stop either soon or just dnt continue for some reason.
