Zatanna so far is the only char that I cant do it on consistently...weird.I just did and 5/5. get the timing of when to hit j3. pre patch you could hit it if you would hit j3 at jump peak (this would miss more often).

It's a solid combo, but tbh, unless you want max meterless damage from b23, it's better to just do b23 f223 AC. 27% + AC positioning.Yo guys.
b3 after b23? Possible, but tricky.
Try this : b23, d2, b3. It's character dependent and so far only Raven falls out consistently.
at HMs max range b2 won't whiff
Well, we can confirm off a raw b2 now. Before if you did b2 midscreen but didn't follow it up with anything you couldn't recover and go into HM. Post patch you can.Ok the hitbox is kind of fixed but the grabs doesn't go further compare to before. :\

Technically b23 is still safer, but if they're expecting b2xxtp/at/3 then yes it can be seen that way.Ok, I just did it, looks very tie. This makes b23 almost useless since it's an unsafe option x)
But I expected something better, like a better range to catch from further on an empty hm.

Ive just been using meter and doing B23, D1, MB achilles clutch, achilles clutch for a little over 32%-37% today in the lab. HM does have more range now. Pre-patch it just barely reached the opponent from match starting position and now you can back up a bit and it'll still reach. And some (useless) combos are possible now that iirc weren't before like dbf1 MB, b3, j3, f2 xx db1 MB, 3 xx dbf1.EDIT : I just tried the range doing empty low grabs, it looks to go further, that's very good. Too bad the Hm is still the same distance.

Does HM work after a blocked 3?
Hard knockdown setups that allowed you to enter vortex were better for damage. Now, it's a lot better, damage wise as well, to finish with AC.I thought I'd be more hype about the HM buff. The AC buff is gigantic. It is such a huge help. It still doesn't entirely replace HM on the damage side, but the overall damage increase might make it more worth it to actually end most combos with the AC ender version.
Just simmer your beans! "way better" are you emplyed by NRS to just come here and convince everyone Shazam is actually good. The range HARDLY helps. AC hitbox was buffed to not hit as low as before so it is easier in combos, but outside that, nothing changes. Only reason I thought they added range was to fix the 22 string, but it still has holes like a block of cheese.Its way better
