Sadly, Raven's does last 10 seconds, so it's safe to say Zatanna's will be timed. Cooldown is the next factor. Just gotta wait for Monday I guess.
I would hope that it would me a lot like Wonder Woman's trait. Switch from weapon to weapon at will with no cooldown/timer.

Honestly, the only reason why it looks like Zee's hat is timed is because the transition animation for back to normal seemed very abrupt. I hope it isn't timed, though - I love the hat and wand.
It does look very abrupt, yeah. I didn't notice that the first 10293091023 times I watched the trailer, heh.

Not really true. NRS might just give bogus set ups and just mess around showing the characters. (I haven't seen one so I can't confirm if it's true). I rather start a character from checking out the movelist and mess around and go on from there. Not many people need NRS to hold our hands. Yes, I do check out combo threads and mess around for my preferences. A MU thread for a DLC character seems premature but you gotta do those on your own.

(I'm going to say it now that most likely Doomsday wrecks Zatanna)
I like having guide/cheat sheets. If it's BS, then we'll figure it out. If not, it advances our game quicker. Plus, the stream will clarify some things about Zee, namely about her stance change and levitate.

Speaking of levitate, how does everyone feel about that? How do y'all think it'll play into Zee's game plan?

Does anyone have predictions to how fast she would build meter? After all that MB fireball seems to be a really nice 50/50 since they will have to block. But it all depends on if she even has overheads that are really good since we know she has lows.

As shown in the trailer it could be used to bait a intractable or if time starts to run out, play the run away game. Not to mention it will probably play similar to Batman's cape. If you are able to get cross up setups or it leaves you longer in the air to escape projectiles.

Not extremely fast but fast enough with the looks of those specials. Depending on if they are safe or not, you'll be able to apply pressure and that's where the real meter will come from.

The MB fireball setup looks to be an unblockable, not a 50/50. The opponent can't block both her and the FB, so they will get hit.

We don't know if she will have overheads, but she looks to have great cross ups with front/back TP. That'll probably be her main way of opening people up.

Maybe they will give a Dhalsim/Dormammu thing where you can still block it holding back if they teleport. It would be retarded if it was unblockable.

It would be really stupid if you can jump over it too.

IIRC, Zod has a setup with slow IAZBs and dashing, and that's unlockable. I'd think Zee's would be the same.

EDIT: Nevermind. I get it now. The FB will force the opponent to block, forcing them into a 50/50 with a low or overhead. They can't punish if they guess right because of the FB, allowing you to continue throwing out lows/overheads until the FB finally hits. Hopefully Zee has good overheads.

Nothing like that is ever unblockable. It's just a cross-up so you should be able to block whatever hits you first, keep blocking and you'll be alright. At least that's how it should work... If not, that is stupid.

Yeah, I figured it out up above, but thanks. I'm relatively new to FGs, so mechanics like that evade me. Am I correct in saying the advantage of the MB FB is that it forces them to block, giving you a free 50/50 after the TP?

Yeah I'd so say. Otherwise they'll get hit by the fireball. And sorry, this guy is starting some stuff with me.

If it is not duckable or jumpable and it doesn't vanish upon you getting hit, which I doubt it does then yes. They will be forced to block especially after a teleport. And yes you would be if the MB fireball is positive on hit. Free 50/50s after a teleport.

It doesn't look duckable or jumpable. Dunno about the disappearing on hit - none of the other projectiles in the game do that, IIRC. I'll be sure to use that when Zee launches. Thanks.

Yes but a projectile of that magnitude and priority, I wouldn't be surprised if it vanishes if you get hit.

If she had good rushdown and zoning, that would just put her on par with Superman, Aquaman, Black Adam, and most characters in the game.

Frankly, it's not the hat stance being zoner which bothers me. It's the fact that it appears to be limited to 10 seconds. 10 seconds of zoning is practically useless.
I disagree. If she has situational zoning but good mid/close range then she'd still be solid. Her mobility looks pretty nuts.

Agreed. My view of Zee as a character has changed a lot in the past couple of days. I'm so used to Sinestro's "all zoning all the time" mentality that it kind of stuck.

If her rings in normal stance track automatically, she'll be a zoning pro. However, I thnk that like MMH's teleport, you will have to maybe hold down after the input to make it go up or something like that.

I'm iffy about those rings. Zee's MB rings got beat out by Grundy's swamp hands. A tracking ring with no MB in normal stance seems awesome, though.
