Note what Zatanna did after HS dissapeared, though - she jumped and TPed. It's entierly possible that she deactivated HS on purpose to land the TP combo/transition.
Do you know if they have two people plan out a fight and play it, or do they record computer fights until they get one they like? Or whatever they do. If they staged it with humans or computers like a play, they could've made it so that it "lasted" 10 seconds and stuff like that where they confuse us on purpose

It's done in training mode with meter set to full and the UI off. Note the lack of the 'end of round' animation. In MMH's trailer, you can even see MMH meter burn one of his specials directly before his super. NRS obviously has better tools for recording, so they can prompt the ending animation when they want the trailer to end. I'd bet it's pre-scripted, also - they are trying to sell you the character, so they need show the characters specials/throw/clash/super. Just having two people fight and hoping that it fits those criteria and ends up showing the character in a positive light would be pretty inefficient.

Honestly, I'm betting it is timed. The animation for the hat has Zatanna jump back a little bit, implying it wasn't Zatanna's doing. Why it's timed is beyond me, but we will find out during the stream on Monday. Either that, or they quickly switched back because a minute of Zatanna zoning would be incredibly boring.

Yeah, I kinda feel like if it was an unlimited stance change it would be a happier transition back.

It could also function like HG's trait, with a time limit but no cool down. This would place a hole in Zatanna's zoning because she'd need to put trait back up, but it wouldn't completely destroy it.

I'm gonna test Raven's trait. If it lasts exactly 10 seconds, I think it's confirmed it runs out. I like that theory though. I hope there's no cooldown

One thing is for certain - a trait which slows Zatanna and gives her 10 seconds of zoning isn't just what it is. There has to be something else to it. Such a massive mobility debuff has to give something greater for it to be worth it.

Could be a damage buff or possibly they think zoning for 10 seconds is amazing. Hopefully she has a trick up her sleeve during her trait (pun intended).

The recovery isn't that slow. She was back in the fight pretty quickly. I do agree that it's probably not a stance change, though. I'm leaning towards damage buff.
Yes, i hope it's like Raven's otherwise that would be so broken considering the moves that she has in both stances

Frankly, it's not the hat stance being zoner which bothers me. It's the fact that it appears to be limited to 10 seconds. 10 seconds of zoning is practically useless.

Well.. Not at all it would be like Raven! We can finish combos with stings that put them at almost full screen (hopefully Zatanna has one) cancel it into magic stance and zone them :) She looks good, i am happay with what i saw

Definitely looking forward to seeing how the character will be used during the NRS Twitch stream tomorrow night. My apologies on if this was already answered but will Zatanna be available to download early Tuesday morning after midnight?

Lol omg me too, i can't wait... Amd sadly no :c Every character always drops on XBL around 01:00 pm and 4:00 or 5:00 pm on PSN

very good idea , you build meter in zoning stance for mb fireball when trait ends :D anyway i still hope its not timed ...

So do I. Timed stances annoy me, and it still seems unnecessary to time it. Regardless, I will main Zee.

Anyways, we really should agree on a name for the non-hat stance.

Fuck watching that stream, I rather learn and see everything on my own.
That's all well and fine, yet you are missing the inherent benefits of watching a stream of a character and gaining insight into what the character can/cannot do.
Do you not look at the combo or match-up threads either? I'm in no way trolling, just pointing out that you lose out on knowledge already established, which you would discover well after it has been rendered moot/not-useful.

Harley & Zatana is all I need.
Her Hat Stance looks weak for zoning. Her "normal" stance looks stronger for both rush down and keepaway. Like I've been saying, Hat will be for stylish combos.

Not really true. NRS might just give bogus set ups and just mess around showing the characters. (I haven't seen one so I can't confirm if it's true). I rather start a character from checking out the movelist and mess around and go on from there. Not many people need NRS to hold our hands. Yes, I do check out combo threads and mess around for my preferences. A MU thread for a DLC character seems premature but you gotta do those on your own.

(I'm going to say it now that most likely Doomsday wrecks Zatanna)
